Changi Sports Medicine - Let me Run more!

Went to the Changi Sports Medicine department at CGH today... a follow up for the nagging pain in my hip area... OUCH!


Cute n tan Dr.attended to me, he patiently asked the questions to diagnose what could be the problem.... his guess is excessive wear n tear on the hip/pelvis bone (after X-ray results) and that the pain could be due to the cause of Hip Bursitis... argh! But I have no old injury on my hip or pelvis area! boohooo... can I still run & remain active till I am 90yrs old?


Anyway,have to go for podiatry check and physiotherapy next few weeks & I will get to see cute doc again next month.... anything for me goes now man, as long as no permanent injury/damage to my well being - I want to complete the OD Triathlon before I hit the BIG 3!!!


Passed by this machine & decided to try! Cool! Just scan my NRIC, stand on the scale & VIOLA!
Height & Weight taken + BMI calculated! Got receipt somemore!!!

Chey! Havent eat breakfast, that's y this weight!

I finally decided to buy the Apple Cider Vinegar!

Have been reading up on the magic composite of this "Mother of Nature"!
Some interesting extract:

Didnt realised that there were so many types, price ranged from $3 to $9 at the supermarket (Cold Storage has a wide selection). I decided to go for RAW one, and this brand was highly recommended! I think <$7 is worth a try. The main reason why I wanted to get it was to cure Creamie of the possible fungal infection on the nose, the medication given by the Vet is not working much... nothing serious... just wanna rid her of it though there were not discomfort or anything.

Anyway, here goes!

I have decided to consume it regularly also, read that it helps in detoxing too!
So I have tried to add teeny bit into Creamie's food & water, plus mix abit to rub on her nose every morning. + make myself a drink in the morning & night!

BTW, after the first oral dose for creamie, she vomitted after 5 mins! Shocked me to death! I think I put too much! But 1 thing good is that, she vomitted the Rubber Band that she had eaten last night! Now I dun have to poke into her next Poo to check if it's expelled out of her system! Phew!!

Went out to find Cousin Ming's Birthday pressie... BIG HEADACHE!
1) I suck at buying presssie, anyone's pressie actually!
2) I am coming 30 yrs old liao & I really duno what a God Loving, 1st yr Poly student age 17 yrs old like!!!
3) I hate shopping!

Anyway, I couldnt find anything. Instead, I managed to do some toiletries shopping:

Nope, I am not dating a Dentist... the auntie cheapo po me just grabbing a good deal! The toothpaste were 2 for the price of 1! These are expensive lah! Cos it's for my Sensitive teeth/gums. So bo biah, good deal, best deal, MUST buy!


Had lunch with Starry & she bought me these YUMMY Museli bar, I have been goody - never skip meals so havent get to eat the bars for a long time. But I always have 1 in my bag just in case! Thanks Starry for being so sweet & thoughtful! Sayang!

Creamie is not very close to me... it pains my heart to see her purring at Linda's touch, playing with Linda & when I sit down & pat her, she will walk away from me.... worst, Linda's wicked laughters everytime she sees this...

Then another part of me is Thankful for Linda to have something to sayang....she doesnt have any children of her own so Creamie is like her child too... to be exact, Grandkid. I am also thankful that Creamie is in good hands when i m at work etc. =I

Overall, I have no choice, I am the one who have to force Creamie to do alot of things she doesnt like... like putting medicine on her nose, clipping her nails, cleaning her ears, bathing her... beating her if she is nottie... so naturally she would be close to me or even resent my touch... I am still trying to read more online to learn how I can create the bond btw us... I play her fav games/toys with her... try to get her more attention... hopefully one day she will realised that I am the Mummy!

Finally managed to meet up with Sinyi and Stella after so long! Must have been 3-6mths man!



They are probably the only few that I still keep in touch with from my Banking Course Batch.... duno why, feel esp close to these 2 girls... they are supa nice pple...they work with the supa rich (treasures & priority customers) but they have no airs at all, unlike some of the colleagues that I know who are...XYZ...



Anyway, we were at AERINS (Raffles City Shopping Centre)...I was asking them why they had chosen the place, and if food is really gd etc.

I told them that I had been there once for brunch on a Sunday morning 11am.
Then I was waiting outside the cafe for them to open for business, the food is rather expensive, I think I spent $25 on a drink & a main course of Fish&Chips... I was just sitting there alone, eating, sipping my tea, watch the world go pass me... I also had a book with me, I was also reading, in btw looking at the pple ard. the crowd started to come in for lunch... my world stood still, the moment stopped... it was mine... i realised I enjoyed the serenity... lotsa 感触

I suddenly tot of all these cos I recalled a friend asking me if I "do this often"... meaning to travel all the way to town, to eat alone, and on a Sunday morning, or watch movies alone. I tot he was teasing me about being a weirdo... sadist... now I realised that I may indeed be one....

But it is me... just me... =D

Anyway, we had a great time there catching up =) The drinks we ordered were so nice!

My Virgin Experience with Wii!

Attended a gathering at Chris place last nite!
Her place is just opp my maiden school! OMG! So small Singapore is!
Chris happened to be my junior from Secondary School too! Bet that!

Brought back some good old memories just visiting the place, the school and the area around have changed so much, beyond what I can imagine! A multi-storey carpark just next to the school! My! There used to be a Neighbourhood Police Post (NPP) built just below the next block - intention then was to deter notorious students but ended up the most notorious of them all are good buddies with Ma Dat!

Anyway, it was a very casual gathering with the friendly PLK Dragonboat pple.. do feel alittle outa place cos I was the only one not in the team...
But they are cool & relaxed & I also enjoyed myself much chilling with them!

I have my "virgin" experience playing the Wii ! Wii is COOOooool man! YuanPei have the whole collection! Mic, Drum set & Guitar!! FIERCE!!

Ultimate ROCKER MAn! So we played GUITARHERO & also another 4 player Wii game! Damn comical lah! I think I was so tense that I hold the Guitar in the most awkard way - I cant see myself of course, but everyone was laughing at me! *POUT* I must admit that I do have coordinating problem man!

My Creamie Killed e Mouse! YIKS!

My sweet demure n icy queen Creamie girl killed the mouse today...

I knew she has fully capable for that, but I have been ignoring the symptons I see in her... I was secretly hoping & waiting out to see if she'll really do it...

Today, it finally happened... haiz... that's it, my Creamie is a true blue cat, her natural instinct remains despite being a breed that was domesticated long time ago, no longer having the need to actively hunt... her instincts were so strong that she severed the mouse into 2 clean parts... the teeth marks indicated that the kill was instant...

I returned home from a late night drink to discover the unfortunate mouse laying next to my lappy... goodbye little mouse... thank you for being my favourite for the past... 8yrs? Sob sob....

Anyway, Creamie seemed to enjoy these rides!

I'm on Heat & on Fire.... argh...

I am not feeling well. When I got back from MACAU, I was still ok.
The 1st thing I did when I returned at 6.30am, was bring Creamie to the vet. Nothing serious, just a nagging spot on her nose - I just wanna have a peace of mind & get it seen by the vet.
Nope, Dr.Andrew was not scheduled to work that day.

Since I was not working, I waited till 9.30am before I took a cab down with Creamie. Alamak, the scenario repeated itself, I was at the roadside, trying to flag down a cab with a carrier on hand... many cabs passed me by... it was like I was there with Cookie in the carrier... Haiz...

Anyway, though I didnt get to catch a wink when I returned home, I did managed to sleep from 12 - abt 3pm. After that I was feeling a little feverish.. u know the breathing hot air outa nostrils feeling? Feeling like a female Dragon on heat (pun intended) & breathing Fire... argh

I fell asleep ard 12am & woke repeatedly at 3+am to get water... the next thing I know when I woke at 6.30am - I had lost my voice & was having a terrible sore throat... haiz... I knew I am in for THE illness that I had tried so hard to suppress before I left from MACAU (was having my semi-annual ulcers attack, which spells big trouble for me).

All the Liang Teh in HKG & MACAU had suppressed the ulcers & they went away finally.... now bk in Singapore, all hell breaks loose! ArgH!

So... I took MC 1 day & went back to work the other day. Now the flu has developed (not fully yet though). When I declared my travel history, the Doc said that it's more dangerous being in Singapore than HKG/MACAU! Ha!

Anyway, I am still "on Heat" & breathing fire thru my enlarged & redden nose.... mucus & all.... plus the feverish feeling... argh.... someone chop off my nose please.

Still will go back to work lah, my poor colleague has been hanging on for me long enough... =I

Day 8 (6Jul) MACAU – SIN

Woke up rather late this morning, only at 11am! Wuahahah!

Me & KT quickly washed up & left for the market! She brought me to her old estate & we walked quite abit! She had to leave for work so I sent her to the place where she waits for the company shuttle service! It’s tough I bid goodbye, but luckily I will soon see her again in Singapore when she returned for good in Oct! Yay!

Thereafter, I walked & walked… I had the map with me but decided to just recee around! I must have walked the half the circumference of MACAU island itself before I realized that I was very far off from where I started & decided to Topo back! Kekkeke! Both sides of the shoe fits loosely (as it should be originally) this morning! The swelling had gone down much & I am not ablt to aggravate it!


I saw these bunch of kids walking down the streets! What a sight! I "stalked" them & realised that they had walked 3-4streets down to the nearby swimming pool, with just their swim suit & swimming caps on! some had towels lah!

I though the sight was really cute & very down to earth! kekkek! Had to snap these little duckling!

I passed by this school... it's more like a Kindergarden/childcare centre... anxious parents waiting outside the gate... just like the scene outside Singapore Schools.... except that mostly it's the domestic helper who waits outside! Made me think alot... hmmm.... have our society envolved so much?

Finally topo-ed back to KT’s! Phew! Bot some food to “stock up” for dinner! Legs tired to go out liao! By then, it was already 4+pm! =) So I used the internet, checked my emails & Blog of cos!
Lazy afternoon!

Stomach growling at 8+pm looks like my “stock” of food is not enough, had to go downstairs to get food! YUMMY! Got KT’s favourite BBQ Saba fish! Yummy! 2 X Saba Fish + 1 PorkRib!

I have weighed my baggage:
- 1 backpack (8kg – including books)
- 1 sling bag (about 3kg)
- 1 bag (full of Almond& Wife’s biscuits) (3.5kg)
- 1 handcarry sling (abt 2kg – passports, camera, spec, cardigans/shawl etc)
Yay! No problem for the 20kg limit! Damn! Should have bought more books in ZHUHAI!! ARGH!!

More Bags are packed!

Time to leave MACAU… KT’s at work, so I am leaving the rest of the MOP$ & the MACAU express Bus farecard on the table. + the house keys of course.
This concluded my 8Days MACAU-HKG trip! Till then, Zhoi Gin! 再见!

Day 7(5Jul) MACAU

I woke rather early @7am! Fished! So bright outside i tot i overslept till noon! Was a aliitle paranoid cos I was supposed to meet Jordan @SenadoSq - 11am. So I dozed again till 9am before i dragged my ass outa bed! Keke! The weather was rainy but nice!

Met up with Jordan & fren, Jonathan. We had egg tarts & steamed milk dessert + the famous PorkChop Bun.

Thereafter, we left to recee for nice egg tarts again! Lost our way cos we ventured the back alleys, I thought it was rather fun! But Jonathan seemed a little tired & bored to carry on the “adventure” of going through the local’s back alleys… we asked for directions finally & got to the RuinsOfStPaul’s finally!

Thereafter, Jonathan & Jordan decided to try their hands for the last burst of good luck at the casino, before flying back to planet earth-Singapore!

I visited the StDominic Ch & the museum, the museum was rather eerie though

Due to maintenance budget I presume, maintenance program was nt so regulated & properly done up. What a pity! A Beautiful part of religion history cant nv be savage again. Haiz…. Feeling kinda lost to think that way….

I returned to KT’s & lazed ard. I read & rested my legs….poor thing she has to work today & tmr!By evening time, the swelling had gone down much. How I know?! Cos my left shoe feels looser at night. =D

Day 6 (4Jul) MACAU – ZHUHAI (CHINA)

We woke up late today! Kekekk! KT’s Off day today so we are going to ZHUHAI for Foot massage & abit of shopping! Nothing much really for me to buy liao. Just running some errands for friends actually.

Before that, let's Eat 1st!!!

Yummy Chinese food! YUMMY!

We went to this giant Massage Parlour for foot reflexology... i'm sure it's nt so simple & that they offer “special service”! The Hum Sup Lou sitting at the chair next to me were having a disgusting conversation w his masseur & mine! Damn! He even flashed out his stock of 'Branded' condoms to show them he alwis use them, & that he always insist on gd brands too! Supa Disgusted by him. I kinda pity e masseurs working there though, how much it cost for the hr long massage? RMB$43 (~S$12) minus the rental, the company’s commission, I think the girls there earn very little & hence have to tahan all these Hum Sup Old uncles’s talk. Argh!

Anyway, we visited the书城 (Book City). KT told me that she got some Chinese novels with HanYuPinYin words, so we went in search of those books at the Kid’s section. Think our secondary school Chinese textbooks, those that has HanYuPinYin under each Chinese character! YES! Then I saw them….. OMG!!! so tempted to buy all e 4 books of Chinese History/story

1) 水浒传 ( Water Margin aka Outlaws of the Marsh)
2) 三国演义 (The Romance of Three Kingdoms)
3) 红楼梦 (Dreams of the Red Chambers)
4) 西遊記 (Journey to the West)


Bought the<水浒传>(Water Margin aka Outlaws of the Marsh) with the HanYuPinYin words, they also have v cute colourful cartoon for the characters! Would have bought all 4 of them, bought becos I decided to get 2 other collections: <三国演义>(The romance of Three Kingdoms) & <红楼梦>( Dreams of the Red Chambers). These are in English, 4 books in 1 collection, V cheap! RMB$97(~S$21)each! OMG! You cant get them in Singapore! They are V heavy too! Chuiz liao! Duno hw to lug them bk to SIN, if nt for flight baggage weight restriction, i would have bot more! Total Books count: 9 Books + 1 book (bought from Apt) = 10 books to bring back to Singapore! FAINT!



Before we left Zhuhai, we had dessert at a Japanese/Hongkong/Taiwanese theme dessert franchise... why so many theme? Cos I cant tell exactly which 1 they are trying to follow! Just very rojak! kekek!


We reached back MACAU & went to Wynn Casino/Hotel see the "Tree of Prosperity & Dragon of Fortune Show". Quite impressive!!!




Also went to go CityOfDreams Casino (newest of all) to watch e Dragon'sTreasure show! We had dinner there & had to waited 1 hr for e free show! Nicee! Would be best if it's 3D! the OmniTheatre effect is still v impressive! =)

Since we missed the last Free shuttle back to the terminal, KT decided to bring me go to the Casino walk walk. So I had my “virgin” visit inside the Casino(other than those times at Genting when I had to go in to get my friends out!) for e 1st tm & we played e Slot machine, according to KT-it's purely a luck game, no brainer! So just press the button! We used HKD$100 (~S$20) to play, 1st machine KT won $50, then we moved to another machine, i was losing till HKD$95+ & Suddenly 1 win & we made HKD$180.

So we won enough to cover our Taxi fare back! YAY! I quickly urged KT to collected our winnings & left! Really not a CASINO person, I feel rather uneasy, gambling that is

Again, we slept at ard 3+ am! Gosh! My bedtime have been tuned to 3am liao! Faint! Will have a hard time adjusting back to 11pm! Wuahahah!

Day 5(3Jul) HKG – MACAU

I specially woke up @9am to having BF @ MIDO Cafe! Yes! I MUST have Polo Bun w Butter & Milk tea! No prob finding e place to sit tis time! But alas, the upper floor section is closed till lunch time! Cant take photos! Damn! Anyway, I had sm time to spare!

Took MTR to PrinceEdward MTR & went to recee the Gold Fish Market! It turned out to be a street of Pet Shops too! Seemed tat Fishes are the early birds-they get e worms! Doggies & kitties r mostly asleep! =)

I walked down NathanRd to search for the famous “恒香” (HangHeng) 老婆饼(Wife'sBiscuits). Just as per Eeleen's directions, VIOLA!! I found them! Though I love them, I really cant bring too many back, so I bot 6boxes of 8 minis Wife Biscuits! Mainly for colleagues & family members. They are kinda Heavy + Very Fragile! Must be careful, these are meant for handcarry baggage only!

Went back to hotel, Showered & lazed ard to watch on cable. Thereafter I left for the Ferry Terminal & took the 2pm's ferry back to MACAU. The timing was as planned and arranged with KT, I am on track! So happy to be back in MACAU! YAY! Maybe HKG was too cosmopolitan for me. Too developed, offices etc… even the markets were too commercialized & touristy for me…

By the time I reached KT’s it was abt 4pm already. We ventured out to the Fisherman's Wharf (next to e Ferry terminal actually) for dinner. KT said this place is a little like our old ClarkeQuay, bit of a White elephant cos the Rental's supa high but nt enough revenue generated to sustain the place. We saw a few dysfunctional restaurants & wondered if they too had succumbed to the fate of failed biz venture. We had to waited for dinner @ a Jap Rest (abit like Sushi Tei, except teeny bit posher). I noticed that the Japanese/Korean restaurant/cafe businesses generally do very well in MACAU & HKG, KT confirmed my observation.



Dinner was quite Yummy! We walked to e Casino areas! KT got me a bkgrd of e casino devt timeline/history in MACAU. Basically WYNN, MGM, CITY OF DREAMS(Crowne) & SANDS (Venetian & Golden Sands) are the 4 external main players in the market! Smhw almost all related to Stanley Ho's family biz(except for SANDS)! I am truly amazed by how the biz can grow so biz! COOL!

I am not reallt a Casino fan, but just to see how Beautiful & Grand they are is fun! The lights & décor! & Of cos I awe in amazement how much revenue they can generate to sustain the competitive Casino biz in MACAU.

Our after-dinner-night walk brought us to SenadoSq! Night visit! COOL! So must be really fortunate to able to see the night & day view of the famous RuinsOfSt.Paul’s & the St.Dominic Ch. It was a little like Rome's Trevi Fountain & The Spanish Steps! The little lanes & churches scattered ard, pebbled roads closed for pedestrians,shop houses! Nicee! Oh, I had to buy Almond cookies for colleagues & family too!! 4 boxes-should be enough bah!! OMG! Heavy! Cant wait to come back in day time to awe in the beauty of the architecture & immense myself in the history! Wow!

Yummy Roast Pigeon, zhu chow Chilli+BlackBean fry Lahlah(shellfish),BBQ fish- not forgetting the Macauian's culture of having 2XBottles of TsingTao Beer to “下酒” (when KT used tis term “下酒” , i laughed my head off! Damn funny cos it's coming frm a “宅女” like her! Oh, cos usually she very calm & poised, so when she looked rather animated & was quite excited abt e whole ting-I had to laugh! Wuahaha!
