Spring Cleaned my room & New Curtains!

Baked some muffins a few days ago!

Lesson learnt: Dun be too greedy! if the tray can only fit 12 cups, dun fit 13! The squeeze meant that the rest couldnt rise properly! ARGH! Only abt 4 turned out nicely! Anyway, the oven fan is just not even also, the inner ones tend to rise nicely.... argh! GIVE ME A BIG BAKING OVEN ANYTIME!

Found some Oranges in the fridge & still got some Chocolate chips! Combined = VIOLA!

Cleaned my room today! Din feel like training on a Sunday morning! Plus of cos Aunty Hong's making me all grumpy & nuaz...

So I spring cleaned my room! I even "Magic Clean-ed" the Ceiling & walls! Now they are free from Hanging strands of kitty fur & cobweb! YAY!

To complete the works, I changed the curtains too! I wanted bright & cherry curtains that's y I choose this design & colour! They were originally a Kiddy Bed sheet set from Ikea! I love the colour so much (Plus I am a Cheapo Po, refused to pay so much for curtains), I made them into my own Kindergarden style curtains!

Thanks to Matt's Mum who let me use her sewing machine at her shop (just 1 storey below my branch), I spent 2 evenings popping over after work to complete it! So paiseh I never even measure the length! All by ARGAR-RA-TION!

Ended up a bit too long!

So I hand sewed them to make it shorter! YAY! Pretty new curtains! Brightens my day up!

Went & got myself lost in Crowded Orchard.... getting all dizzy & moody actually.... quickly left for Frog Legs porridge at Geylang! Yummy! Except I was too "touched" by the Gong Bao (Dried chilli) version! YUMMY!

Running errands for today.

Morning Medical Appt with Dr.Ng at CGH - Changi Sports Medicine.
Dr.Ng told me that my overpronation problem seemed to be corrected by the insoles I bought from the podiatrist (of cos! They cost a whopping $60)! But if I dun balance myself better, I may bring along a new set of problem, underpronation & that means I may tend to injure my ankles, sprains & all.... haiz...

Anyway, he gave me lotsa advice on the Triathlon event.... he said should do at least 60 laps in pool actually for the 1.5km (equavalent to 30laps).... I told him I only train 40 laps! Faint!

Oh, he very cute, ask me to "bend over", "point to me where it hurts"(I shyly point to my right butt & say:"It hurts here Doc.... *Lips POUTing*!"). Aiyah, the scene that I imagined in my pea-sized brains is just very funny & of cos kinky! Woooooooo! kekek!

Clare was so sweet to come along with me for the appt, we went lunch at Aston's Express Tampines & I popped into the Tampines Br for a short while to settle some work matters.

Thereafter, we went Tampines One to try out the 2XU compression tights....they are expensive lah! Should I get them?! But I wana 1 too! ARGH! Dilemma which brand to get also!

We met up with Chris @ Bugis & they followed me to get my Deed Poll. Damn! I have to effect the change in my NRIC within like 28 days?!! I tot I can do it like when I receive the notice to change my NRIC! Argh! Must negotiate with ICA liao!

I had to attend the funeral wake of Cousin May's Paternal Grandpa... haiz.... small family but many problems... AhGong only have 3 children (considered very small in those days when the avg is like 5-6kids)... but they are all vastly different in characters & wants... Complicates the whole matter...

Verdict: BF 23.5%, 1770 Cal to survive - which means the excess will be stored as FATS.

Bro Xiong Sai Ko me to go jog with him but I only had running shoes! So he gave me an old tattered Garfield Tshirt & fading Asics running shorts to wear! It's SO NOT SEXY! ARGH! damn... luckily I duno anyone staying at Bishan park area, else I dun think I can dig a hole fast enough to hide my head in!
We must have jogged at least 6-8km, it was a slow & leisure jog, nice bonding with my brother...

Finally Creamie seemed to accept Little Nugget in our family! Hurray!

The Queen has accepted the Prince & anointed him!



There has been some changes in my life style...

1st, the Queen has to be upgraded to a different formuale deemed "royal" enough for her...
Well, what can I say.... after a week of trying Boiled Chicken Breast meat, mixing chicken stock & can food... the introduction of Little Nugget havent been all smooth going. The Queen has spoken, she is taken a decent liking for the "Exigent - for Fussy Cats"....

Well, Creamie's not called a Queen for nothing, this "Exigent for Fussy Cats" cost much more expensive than the kitten formuale (what Nugget is having now). I have to source at least 3 places to decide on the cheapest, $31.80 for 2 kg, kitten formuale is $23.80! It's $8 difference lah! FAINT!

It means that I have to separate them or watch over them when they eat! cos they are eating different food! Too much kitten food is not good for Creamie - too much protein, overwork her little kidneys! & Clever Nugget will nip at Creamie's yummy food!


Little Nugget seemed to be a bottomless pit, oh.... he eats.... alot & frequently! Faint! So Expenses up! & of cos, what goes in.... must come out somewhere right?! So the amount of Poo & Pee also went up & I feel like a cleaning lady! Cleaning up so often these days!

Finally both are settling well in food now & good bowel movement... I, the Pussy-Head of the house, can finally have a Peace of Mind!

Today I mark New Territory, I DID IT!

Havent been feeling good... kinda Emo for the past couple of days still...
even Starry Stella's presence failed to cheer me up... haiz...

Paiseh Starry, the little one & Cool babe had disturbed ur sleep last nite & u had to wakey so early on a Sunday Morning + travel all the way back to AMK from Tamp.... Xie Xie you for your kind soul, ur tolerance for my erratic and extreme behaviour and mood...

Woke with a rather Heavy Heart this morning... after cooing Creamie to eat her food (nowadays it's a 30mins affair)...I prepared to leave the house for my Sunday Training.

As usual, I swam my 40 laps (did in sets of 10 - else I will lose count the number of laps!), chit chatted with the life guard for a while & bike out... comtemplating very long the distance I should clock today.... last week I did 20kms& a 8km run, almost died - with a great running friend somemore, still my level is not there...
I finally decided to do 40km.... then I will consider the distance to run...

When I covered my 40km (zhun zhun 40.1km when reached my lift lobby!), I decided to follow the advice of my friend, to rest abit 1st before venturing out.... slowed down my transition...

When I ran, I had alot going through my pea sized brains... would he be there to me meet to jog (as we had briefly toked abt to meet for the running part).... he was not there...
When I struggled to reach BR, I was half hoping to see him there... he was not there either...
have I lost a friend? Someone I could confide in? Was it my own folly? I couldnt help but start to blame myself again for all the unhappiness that had happened... haiz...

Anyway, I really struggled all the way... still contemplating the distance to cover, then in my own frustration & unhappiness, I decided to do the full 10km! My heartrate was exceptionally high (compared to if I had just jogged, & not did all the other swimming & biking segments)... it was high all the way, my legs could still last me I feel, but I fear for my heart... haiz...

Oh, I had 1 pkt of Power Gel (Brand: Gu Gel - Chocolate favour w Caffine) consumed over the whole training session today. The last few times I couldnt complete the run segment(or rather I didnt wanna risk injury) cos I was too dehydrated & really not strength (1st time) and bad stitches from too much isotonic drink(2nd time).

Today, I was prepared...
Today, I conquered myself... I mark new Territory... I set a New today....
I know it's teeny weeny achievements compared to others, but to me it's a GREAT achievement.... when I finished the 10km... I wanna shout to the person who has been running with me: I DID IT! THANK YOU! Of cos, he wasnt there... haiz... some kinda emptiness....

Anyway, here goes for the new mark...

Have been feeling rather uneasy for the past few days...

Decision made, opening speech tot of... but still the execution is scary... I am afraid to lose... to lose a friend to confide in... a friend whom I trust with my complicated and jaded soul...

When asked what was my criteria, I dun have 1!... "nice" is tops in the list... then I realised that "Nice" is not enough... I started to realised what my friends said of me, things I have not realised...

So I have been told that I need some1 who
- "takes charge", is "decisive",
- "yet respects my individuality",
- "can carry self well in a social event", "respected as some1 who is knowledgeable"
- "empowered"

What appeals to me:
I am a LEO WOMAN! Hear me *ROAR!*
- Makes me feel desired, like his Queen! Proclaim it LOUD!
- Makes me feel like I am the prize he had worked hard for! Treasure me!
*Am I too full of myself? Wouldnt all girls like that?! I am starting to question if I am an egoistic, self centred creature! Am i? AM I?! OMG! I am a MONSTER!!

Anyway, I am feeling rather terrible abt what happened.... but I guess I had to do it.... else I will really be a selfish woman... Every woman likes the feeling of knowing some1 likes u, but the draw between a one and one that is not, is thin but clear - it's selfish to lead pple on... put the stand clear... at least give forewarning....

Welcome Little Kitty Nugget!

After my physio, I walked home from CGH & stopped by the round market to have my Brunch!
Was feeling famished cos I havent had anything after the wedding lucheon yest, except for a bottle of chocolat milk from the hospital 7-11.

Anyway, you know my motto- "A Hungry Woman, is an Angry Woman!"

I HAVE to have my FOOD! When I approached the stall, Uncle (actually more like Ge Ge) asked me: " Wau! So long never see you! So busy ah!" Hahah!! So I ordered my usual Extra toast with Extra Cold Storage Butter, 2 half boiled eggs + teh! I told him I will come back later, I walked 2 stalls away to order a plate of Chinese Nasi Lemak rice +Sardine, Wu Siang, Long Beans.


Then I sat down next to the drink stall & "Ge Ge" delivered the drinks etc to me, he half sat beside me & asked:
"Girl, you can finish or not? U order so much ah!?"

"Can ah! Can finish! I very hungry leh! Ernmmm....Alot meh? U mean u cant finish?!"

"Yah! Alot lah! See (pointing to the next table), the uncle at the next table keep looking at you & your food lah!"

I turned behind & indeed, this Old Peh Peh waved at me & smiled! Of cos I smiled back sheeshly lah!
"I very hungry leh, duno why!? maybe do sports is like that lor"
I was in my PT attire cos I went for Physio mah! so the Million dollar question came...
"Girl, are you a PE teacher?!"

"Nope....I ermmm... work in a Bank...." shake head

"Wau! U looked like leh! PE teacher pattern!"
For the upteenth times, I AINT NO PE TEACHER LOH!!!

After my very hearty BF, I went to pick up Little Kitty Nugget!
Somehow feel funny calling Kitty Nugget.... like chicken nugget is nugget made of Chicken meat & kitty nugget means...? Argh! Dun wanna think abt it! Let's stick to Little Nugget.

Nugget was abandoned at Mutts & Mittens (shelter, boarding, pet supplies store) at Pasir Ris.
He has been given a clean bill of health, thanks to Volunteers like Vivien and the kind pple at Mutts& Mittens who provided his daily needs till he's adopted!

I had actually visited Vivien & Nugget on Saturday, but decided to take him in only on Monday (when I am off for 2 days & have more time to social and intro Ice Queen, Creamie, to Court Jester, Nugget!)

NUGGET's intro: " HEllo!! I am Prince Nugget! I am a Ginger Male kitten, with a straight long tail (except for a special tiny kink at the end). I am Full of energy! I love playing with the Big Doggy Ge ge at Mutts&Mittens and the other kitty that stayed with me there! I am Manja also, loves attention & will I dun run ard k - I hop on y toes ard the place!! Today I celebrated 我的第一个六月二十四!

It's my chinese lunar Birthday and I had a surprised mini celebration with Stella!
She "booked" me ages ago! But refused to tell me what was the occassion! I was even terrified that she will set me up for some match making thingy! Phew!

Luckily Smarty Pantz Soya know! she always does!!! Kekek! Or rather I guessed correctly!
But still I was surprised with my 1st Birthday homecooked Egg Mee suan!
2 red eggs specially prepared by Stella's Mum & the Sweet Mee Suan by Stella (with the help of her office microwave)!

YUMMY! Very sweet! Really is 吃在口里, 甜在心里!
I Finished EVERYTHING!!!

We adjourned to this place at Laselle College, 15 minutes cafe!

Nice place (but a tart too noisy for chi chat due to the performance gigs-15mins). The decor and concept is COOl!!! I love the idea & food is decently nice & affordable!

I have to relate the whole experience abt Cookie's demise all over again, and again.... haiz....

Sunset Bay @ECP! I'm here again!

Love Sunset bay @ECP so much, I went back again with Wendy & Stella.

Wendy's been there, but even when I had also recently gone there, we couldnt find the Ulu carpark to turn in! Haiz... ended up "touring" ECP man!

Poor Mei & Clare suffered Foof poisoning after eating the other day.... both were LSing & vomiting, while me & sheila were ok leh... *Scratch head* could it really be the Prawn heads +Shells? Both me& Sheila cleaned the prawns so well that we practically swollen every bit of it!)

Anyway, food as expected is supa nice... we had our girly tok... rather heavy topic... but we are just very comfy with each other.... so nice to have friends like these gals... can tok abt anything under the moon!

OMG!! Anyway, my orders turned out to be disastrous:
1) I ordered 2 X SUPA MEGA SIZE sugar cane drink!
* Then I realised that those pple who ordered this SIZE are sharing it!! OMG!! it's SUPA Big!

2) I was told to order from the BLING-EST stall!
* But the food is not that yummy leh... haiz.... sting ray too dry, fried baby squids!

Brought Creamie to the vet again this morning to check on the dark spot on her nose....
Cute Dr.Andrew cant diagnosed what was it, but at least he wasnt like the previous Vet who didnt even bother to take Creamie outa the carrier to check - She merely shone the torch at Creamie... damn

Anyway, Cute Dr.Andrew is as charming as ever! Kekek! He spent quite abit of time with me & Creamie.... he's guess is that Creamie could have sunburn on her nose! FIERCE! But at least we ruled out the possibility of any fungus infection..... phew!

Went for my Swim training at TP.... phew! Managed 40 laps & the 1st 20 was rather gd! Not so tired & faster! Thanks to uncle Sng's tips on my hand blade entry & pull! YAY!

Must train more! Only managed to cycle 20km at Bedok Res as was threatened by the Overcast over Bedok.Res! Rather scary actually, cos it was all dark & starting to drizzle!

Quickly headed home, luckily never kena drenched - dun wanna fall sleep man!
