Cutesy 小朋友 from Swimming class!

 
Started on my 1st Swimming class as an Asst Swimming Coach today. Was attached to the classed conducted at rented premises of ACS (Barker Rd). The coaches from this Swim school are all very young, average age of only abt 22yrs old! I am offically one of the oldest n yet unqualified (yet) one! Goosh! I wished I was smarter when I was 20yrs old n make plans for future! Let's see, what was I busy with at 20? Dragonboating mostly.... bleah.
 
Anyway, there were a few whiny babies in the class I was attached to... but nothing Coach Soya cant handle. I will mostly be attached to classes with little kiddos (小朋友) aged abt 3 to 6. they are so cutesy! aWWWW.... cant tahan.... I love kiddos at this age, they are cute, easy to amuse, + they dun keep asking "Why?Why? Why?"
 
In fact, I had a Great time "playing" with them! They are mostly in the BF class, Beginner Foundation. So they are required to be able to do 3 items on their own b4 they can progress to the next stage!
1) Star Float! *Face down with hands n legs spread out like a star, for abt 5 secs!
2) Super Man! * hands straight in front, kicking with face under water n coming up for air
3) Kicking! *Holding a board & kicking their way to the other end of the wading pool
 
All these is to gain water confidence in them only..so not so much of stroke correction!
Other than having to calm a rather moody boy, n blow nose for a girl who has the most mucus I can ever imagine.... all was goody & the parents all thanked us profusely for giving the kiddos a fun time!
 
PR-ing the parents is a must! I was told to go over to 1 of the group of parents, for they are known to always ask after each lesson : "So... how is my boy progressing today? Any improvements?!"
 
 
Such of the kia-su parents our society now, but I can totally understand why! Esp when the lessons are conducted in the "rich man" area (Bukit timah rd, newton etc).... I am thankful enough for not having spoilt brats in my classes! Phewww! knowing my temper! I may flare up easily lah! hahah! Cant tolerate such nonsensical behaviour from kiddos.
 
Oh, the kiddos are so cultured... they dun tell me "Cher, i want Pee pee..."
Instead, they put up their hands n ask politely: "Coach Soya, May I go and pass urine?"
My my.... they are only abt 4yrs old! *FAINT!*
impressed I am
