Honestly, I havent been very disciplined lately. In fact, i was rather ill-disciplined of late.
To think that I used to be diligent, waking up at 6.45am everyday to work... I find it very challenging to even wake up at 8am these days! Also, during my peak of training, I was doing like almost 60km of runs per week, considering that i only run thrice a week then - that's pretty high milege, tat's an average of 20km each run! Thinking back, I find it hard to believe I was doing a half marathon every other day then! Actually, it was mostly broken down to 16, 16 and 28km!
A far cry from my fittest moments... I struggle to keep a gd pace during my jogs, I am toking abt 8km jogs at very slow pace btw! it's maddening how a period of slack moments can diminish all my months of hard work!
Determined to not repeat my painful history of the recent Stanchart marathon, I have just started jogging again - note: Jog, not run.
But the timing is abit off, I am still struggling to wake at 8am... so i generally leave the hse abit later n since the weather has been rather forgiving, I vowed to cut back my sleeping time bits gradually.
This week I kick started with 3 jogs on Tues, Wed and today(Fri), 6km, 8km and 8km respectively. I plan to do a slightly longer jog this weekend (since I dun have swimming classes this sat), I'll probably try to do a very slow 15km. Even then, it's only 36km this week.... still a long way to go man!
Wish me luck man! So far i only suffered the nagging pain on the small of my butt muscle (old pain) on the 1st day... careful and deep stretching had helped relieved the pain and it was gone by the 3rd jog this week.
I will be back.... hey, wait up for me!!! =D
