It means that because something is of interest to you at that moment, you seem to notice that It's EVERYWHERE!
So when I think I see THE watch everywhere... I know I am in for Big trouble!
I see THIS watch regularly on newspaper advertisement (even though it's right at the bottom of the page!) ...
I mentioned THIS watch at first instance when the camera saleman commented on how nice the watch I was wearing (we then spent the next 10mins discussing about the estimate price of THE one watch that caught both of our eyes... we didnt even have to describe much abt THE watch, we just seem to know it's the same watch! Oh Yes... I bought the camera that he "Sold" me!)...
Even when I was talking to a customer, I noticed immediately that she was wearing THIS watch and we ended up talked about the watch, how much discount she got it for etc (of course, she took my financial advice and the plan I recommended her)!
This is THE watch! Niceeeeeeee! 
This watch also caught my eyes..... It's a bit bigger... 36mm...
good for my lousy eyes and fat wrist !!!
It will take alot for me to actually get it.... I have greater plans in mind for my $$$.... besides, I dun have lots of it! hahhah!
