I woke up really early despite not having to go to work! I almost forgot & tot it was a Sunday cos I was feeling so relaxed! It was only till I read the newspaper that I realised that it's THICK Saturday's paper! Kkeke!
Met up with Vivien (Nugget's foster mummy) at Pasir Ris, I feel like an OJT! She's an active volunteer doing rehoming, shelter works for Mutts & Mittens. It's gonna be a busy morning for her. She just picked up some 6 kittens from a cat hogger (ok, it means a person who hogs onto cats, denying them of proper healthcare and development)... this person has got a total of 13 kittens (probably from 3 different litters) cos he refused to sterilise his cats... when Vivien visited the place (tip off from Town council), 13 kittens were found in a 2/3 storey kitty cage... OMG! Luckily most of them were of pretty colour & gd temperaments, & eating well... meaning rehoming chances are higher!
Vivien initially wanted to take only 4, but in the end, her 心太软 gave way to 6 kittens... she nursed them well & today are bring them all for a thorough check up at Allpets vet. Only 1 needed medical attention & scheduled for sterilisation at a later date, so sterilisation, vaccination, deworming & testing for FIV/FEV... all at Vivien's own cost....
I asked vivien abt whether these cost could be covered by CWS (Cats Welfare Society) , she informed me that some of it can, but mostly no... & she is paying all these from her own pocket... Money issues aside, the 爱心 etc... I wished I have the same dedication she has...
We also visited the cattery and doggie shelter... so poor thing some of them...abandoned.... there was a beautiful Goldie with a warning sign that he might bite... he looked so handsome... so smiley (you know the Goldie smile)... so whose fault is it that such dog whose reputation is BEYOND FRIENDLY, shows such aggression? the Owner or the dog... haiz...
I left with a rather heavy heart.... if I were to really keep a dog... since my fav is a Chocolate Labrador, will I have the discipline to really work out the dog so that he can expand all the energy he has & hence be a little more manageable in the house? That's alot of commitment to make to an animal who only has you to turn to!
I question myself if I am a gd mummy to my Creamie & Nugget... hmm...

Had a nap nap & got up to meet Wendy for children's day shopping + dinner at ECP!
We decided on Sunset bay... away from the F1 crowd in town! Surprisingly, it was rather quiet there this Saturday & there were actually parking lots! woooohooo!
Ordered our fill & Yes.... I managed to NOT ORDER anything alcoholic! Yay!
I actually ordered 2 X glasses of Ice cold Elderflower tea! Pig out!
