Was a F**King Hot day! I was in full gear, read in the newspaper that must "dress comfortably", "be hydrated", "bring shades" etc.... so I was in Singlets, shorts, walking shoes and a big bottle of water!
each a little different from the previous and film together (panel shots - duno what is it called)
Can u imagine how much work it involved! Man! Cool!
Each was a teeny thin sheet of metal and cut out and coloured!
PRETTY PRETTY!
The Scooter bike, the parrot.... EVERYTHING!!
wow....wow....WOW!
Subject kinda gloomy to me...
wonder if it's gotta do with the war torn country that he's from...
"Families Ask Why.... Not fortified and Heavy Fire..."
"Tolerating Intolerance"
Google Earth! Every1's finding where they stay etc.!
Funny thing was when I heard abt this programme sometimes in 2003, I went to download it and showed it to my dad. I asked if he recognises the place and immediately he said it's our housing block! I told him that's how terrorists could get location infor, then he scolded me for doing such stuff. He got all panicky, asking me to close the prog, reset all the password in case the our govt thinks that I am up to no good! I told him that it's widely available etc...
I deleted the programme thereafter, just wanted to know how it works....haiz... somehow was kinda disturbed at the ease of information esp the Military grounds...
I was running up and down the stairs to position the camera for the timer!
Thank God for Shuttle Run training!!!
It's actually layers n layers of paper.... torn away to create that 3D effect....
the texture.... difference in shades etc.... meticulously created to portray the mood of the subject.....
I can only use 1 hand to hold the camera and the other to hold up my falling jaw!
This concludes my Singapore Biennale Day! =D
Then I met up with my dear Starry... stayed over at my place and played with Cookie n Creamie... it feels damn nice to have a great friend who u can pour out everything to! Thanks Dearie!
