Merry Chinese New Year!

CNY Day 1

I started the tradition to have a family portrait every chinese new year, so this year it's
"QUICK! EVERYONE GET INTO YOUR RESPECTIVE POSITIONS!!"

We also have the tradition to drink the Ching Teng Soup in the morning! Though I hate Red dates, I will always eat ONE, just for good luck! This is the BEST BEST BEST-est CHing Teng you can ever taste in the world! It has lotsa my favourite Ginkgo Nut, Longan, White Fungus, and not too sweet!! BEST!!

As usual, we head out to the 1st Uncle's hse to 拜年... yummy Sea cumcuber cooked till jelly soft in dark soya sauce!!! YUM YUMMMMM!!! Pig intestinal soup with White pepper!!!! Wooooooooo!! The food is just YUMMY! Next year will be our turn to host the CNY Day1 luncheon!

This year, I also went to Al's home for 拜年! It's always nice to be there, cos Uncle and Auntie always very nice towards me and will chit chat with me when I watch TV with them in the Living Room! Al's always :"Why you always watch TV in the living room instead of in my room!!? *POUT*"

Then he came over my place to 拜年!!
With Al as the fair referee, me and Linda conducted the Ultimate Pineapple Tart Test!
This year we received so many bottles of Pineapple tarts that we had to have this contest! 6 bottles in all! 6 types, different varieties, different textures and styles - tsk tsk... not an easy task though!!!

CNY Day 2

I woke up at 9.30am and went to meet Bro Xiong and his kids! WE ARE GOING BLADING!!!
I promised them that I will bring them blading if they were good boy and girl on CNY Day 1!
A promise's a promise!!

Glenda jus fell on her bum and was abt to burst into tears!

Glenda on the other hand, is careful, too careful and afraid to fall. Because she was dressed in Pink throughout (even SOCKs and the Blades are PINK!!!), I told her I felt like I am shopping in the supermarket,pushing a PINK trolley!!! Wuahahaha! (btw, that's really how she laughed when I told her that!!)

I must say that Garren's really a dare devil! He lived in the force security that his guards will protect him to the end of the world and recklessly and relentlessly bladed through each bum and corner with daring speed!!! Take my hats off him!

When we were abt to leave, Garren decided to pull a SUPERMAN Stunt and bummed his forehead on the tarred ground and suffered this bruise! Cried and woke the Bangladeshi worker up from his nap!

团圆饭Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner!

It's YUMMY 团圆饭 today!
YAY!

I love this time of the year, only becos we can have steam boat at home and everyone's together to have dinner at the same table!

As our family grow bigger (in numbers and in SIZE), this year me and Xiong had to take turns to squeeze our chopsticks in to get our food! I'm not complaining! It makes eating more fun and somehow even simple dump-whatever-food-into-that-boiling-broth tasted especially YUMMY!

Loh Hei 捞鱼生 with my family is my favorite activity! I love the feeling of everyone being noisy, all at once! My family is usually very quiet, with the exception of the youngest daughter,Moi , of course! So I welcome the change to hear everyone cheer loudly!

I Bought Bags... alot of Bags... 3 to be exact!

I was on Off Today!
Went to the market with Papa to have our favourite Kuay Chay for breakfast! I havent had BF with Papa for a while liao! Niceeee.....

We ran into Linda's friends at the newspaper stand, they asked her if I was her youngest daughter.. she merely nodded and smiled... I used to hate this scene! She is so not my mother, she is my father's wife! But today, I managed to squeeze a smile and addressed the elderly.

It was weird today, I, Papa and Linda. We sat at the same table to enjoy our bf at the market. I reserves my bf-me-time for special pple only, I think this is the first time ever that we sat together to eat bf, and I dint even complain. What's gotta into my peany brains? I duno....

Anyway, I spent the next 3.5hrs clearing my wardrobe out, then I did the usual clean up (change the sheets, vacuumed the floor, wipe down the surfaces...). By the time I finished, I feel like all the dirt had transferred onto me! Thereafter, I went to Orchard to shop and meet Sui for movie

I was really touched by the movie... I think it's more the Human emotions thingy then a gay activist issue.
Everyone has the right to love someone... and to be loved!
They have the rights to love someone
- as Handsome/Ugly as they are Chio/Shuai,
- as Scrawny/Obese as they are Puai/Sang,
- as Man/Woman as they are Boy/Girl...
Everyone has rights...
And no one has the right to deny anyone who wishes to love.

Ok, I have broken my record for the price of a Bag... $170. I know I know....it's not much, but it's the highest for me liao!

If not for the vouchers, I wouldnt spurge like this! Thank God for the Vouchers! YAY!

I had a really long and exhausted day...
It's great to be home... my clean and neat room... arhhh......

Silly me... haiz...

I felt kinda silly today...

I surprised Al by turning out at the driving center after he finished his first ever practical lesson!
I felt kinda bad that he had misunderstood my intentions the other day abt having a car, driving etc. He was surprised Yes! YAY! Worth my effort to spent 50mins travelling there!

But the bomb fell on me when we transit pass the Hawker centre... Mich called out to me and we exchanged "hellos"!

Mich is my very dear mate from my old TPDB days.. we've been through alot as a team and I personally feel that I will 赴汤蹈火 for her. Unfortunately, she also happened to be HQ's coursemate (i knew this some time ago from an old photo at Al's place).

Then I saw the look on his face, I caught the "please-dun-recognise-me" kinda discomfort in his eyes...I guessed Al must have spent alot of time with HQ (and her mates) during school days as Mich recognised him right away and tot he was from the same course! He had to admit it, and then I was embarrassed... I felt sory for him to have to go through this, I felt sory for myself to be in this spot.

I was utterly disappointed; a spite of jealous got the better of me...
All this while, I kept reminding myself not to do anything that will make him feel insecure.
Now I am the one who feel really silly and stupid.
Now I am the one feeling insecure!
I suggested we not go dinner anyway, I have totally lost my appetite. But still we went.

Even Supa yummy Phoenix Claws with ground peanuts 补汤 failed to cheer me up much...
Maybe it was not all that easy for Al after all... as what he allows outsider or me to see...
They were together for the longest time ever! I should be more magnanimous!
By body size, I am bigger than many girls are, then my Heart should be proportionally BIGGER too!

I duno if Al could tell, I actually felt really sorry, for both of us - Are we really ready for this? Is he really ready for me? Am I ? Are we?
Yet I told myself to be strong. I stayed over, went back home the next morning to the comfort of my loving Kitties, my family and my friends...

Time to shop!!! 大开杀戒!

Today... I trotted to Orchard Takashimaya , 大开杀戒!

It makes my blood boil to think that we only got $1K voucher, but still it's better than nothing...

I really could find anything to buy at Takashimaya!

Had really wanted to get a Loewe something, or a Tod's something to pamper myself for the hardwork I put in... but cheapo po me cant even bear to buy a nice Braun Buffel handbag for myself... haiz...

I heard (I dun even have to step into the shop to check) that a Tod's key chain would cost $200+ already! Who the hell needs a $200+ key chain?!!! Not even when the leather is the BEST!

So I trotted B1, B2, L1, L2, L3, and L4...and L3, L2, L1, B1, B2.

Goosh, I ended up buying stuff that I dun need for CNY...

YAY! I am satisfied with my CNY shopping...but I think I will have to continue my 大开杀戒 on Friday! Meanwhile, I have managed to miss the wkend crowd(specially took leave today!), the office going home crowd (left town at 5pm!), I am contented!
