Sail Me to Batam Island!!! 3D2N

Have been awhile since I even set foot off the waters of Singapore (yes, nt even Sentosa)...

So here we are at Batam for a 3D2N Getaway, 28 - 30Jan09! =D

Turi Beach Resort, must stay at the new Tirta Wing ( contemporary design) instead of the older wing (heard that this the CTG Platform for the Commando Mosquitoes)!

DAY 1

This is the jetty at Turi Beach.

I believe it's dysfunction now cos at the end, it's like a store for sea sports equipment. and the big shelter hut thingy is like a bar but not a soul there and it looks pretty run down.

DAY 3

By this time, I was getting cranky abt going back...

All in all, these 3 days have been great fun!!!

Al's a great company, giving in to my request of quest of Seafood, exploring the surrounding, walk alot and dip in the waters.

Next destination... where? when? =D

Merry Chinese New Year!

CNY Day 1

I started the tradition to have a family portrait every chinese new year, so this year it's
"QUICK! EVERYONE GET INTO YOUR RESPECTIVE POSITIONS!!"

We also have the tradition to drink the Ching Teng Soup in the morning! Though I hate Red dates, I will always eat ONE, just for good luck! This is the BEST BEST BEST-est CHing Teng you can ever taste in the world! It has lotsa my favourite Ginkgo Nut, Longan, White Fungus, and not too sweet!! BEST!!

As usual, we head out to the 1st Uncle's hse to 拜年... yummy Sea cumcuber cooked till jelly soft in dark soya sauce!!! YUM YUMMMMM!!! Pig intestinal soup with White pepper!!!! Wooooooooo!! The food is just YUMMY! Next year will be our turn to host the CNY Day1 luncheon!

This year, I also went to Al's home for 拜年! It's always nice to be there, cos Uncle and Auntie always very nice towards me and will chit chat with me when I watch TV with them in the Living Room! Al's always :"Why you always watch TV in the living room instead of in my room!!? *POUT*"

Then he came over my place to 拜年!!
With Al as the fair referee, me and Linda conducted the Ultimate Pineapple Tart Test!
This year we received so many bottles of Pineapple tarts that we had to have this contest! 6 bottles in all! 6 types, different varieties, different textures and styles - tsk tsk... not an easy task though!!!

CNY Day 2

I woke up at 9.30am and went to meet Bro Xiong and his kids! WE ARE GOING BLADING!!!
I promised them that I will bring them blading if they were good boy and girl on CNY Day 1!
A promise's a promise!!

Glenda jus fell on her bum and was abt to burst into tears!

Until I told her to "SMILE! TAKE PHOTO!!"

Princess PINK!

Glenda on the other hand, is careful, too careful and afraid to fall. Because she was dressed in Pink throughout (even SOCKs and the Blades are PINK!!!), I told her I felt like I am shopping in the supermarket,pushing a PINK trolley!!! Wuahahaha! (btw, that's really how she laughed when I told her that!!)

I must say that Garren's really a dare devil! He lived in the force security that his guards will protect him to the end of the world and recklessly and relentlessly bladed through each bum and corner with daring speed!!! Take my hats off him!

When we were abt to leave, Garren decided to pull a SUPERMAN Stunt and bummed his forehead on the tarred ground and suffered this bruise! Cried and woke the Bangladeshi worker up from his nap!

Poor thing! But kids must learn through mistakes like this!
