TRIBOB SPRINT TRIATHLON! HERE WE COME!!!

I DID IT! WE DID IT!!

We each had a Pong Pong Girl! Nope, no Peek-a-Boo-mini-cheerleader-skirt, nor skimpy toga halter neck top! But Sweet Starry did brought some plastic "clappers" to my house the night before and was asking me if she should bring them for today's Pong Pong Girl involvement! So Sweet! Hahhahah! Of course i stopped her! I am not supa Iron Woman lah! Just aiming to complete stronger than last July during my "Virgin" sprint triathlon at the OSIM event!

The fabulous gang includes Pong Pong girls - Milo, Z n Stella!
The Siao-onz musketeers include - Sheila, Clarissa n Me!

So Stella stayed over at my place the night before, Sheila n Z were nicest to come fetch us in the morning at 6.30am this morning! Psst! Cutie Starry was so paranoid that she dont have enough time to prepare in the morning that she couldnt really sleep well! & Oh, every1 noticed that she put on Make up! Wuahahah! Silly Girl, you dun have to look even prettier than you already do to me!

It was pouring like crazy this wee morning! I was thinking to myself, the last training we had paid off! We trained in a Thunder stormy weather!! Wuahah! Luckily it stopped when Sheila n Z came!

Loaded the bike & Off we go to the race site at Changi Coastal Road!

2nd: Body Making! I am known as 595!!!
I rejected the offer of a Handwritten Numbering by the volunteers! So Sorry! They looked very dejected when they beckon me over but I told them I will wait for the Number Stamp body makers instead! My 1st experience with Handwritten ones, a very ugly set of 4 handwritten number tanline for 2 weeks!!! Argh!!! No way!

4th: Decided to warm up to the sea water!
I concluded that the water here is saltier than East Coast Park’s, but Sheila and Clarrisa confirmed that Sentosa’s is the saltiest of them all!! Hahhahah!
The seawater feels good! Under current seems mild, we were all feeling good!

5th: Waved off for the 1st 2 Men’s event! The sequence of waving off is 2 men, 1 women and last men. So all the women will be racing together! It will give u a good gauge of where we stand during the race! We were all getting nervous!

1: Our Race began!! Swim 750m in a triangle formation! 250m then a left angle turn!
Wau! I kena kicked a lot, one froggy kick was esp strong and hard that it kicked my sports bra all the way down! I quickly pull it back on lah!!! *FAINT!* Oh, & I drank more than 3 full mouthful of seawater! OMG! I din get to really put to use my swimming practice, it was just a big mess! All the way till the last 250m when the stronger ones pulled away! I can sense that they were not many pple left swimming with me & I used more of my leg strength to increase my speed!

2: Run to Transition Point! Shagged lah! It’s bloody far!!!
It’s no joke to run in a 2-pieces suit (sports bra n tights) under the view of so many spectators! & the bloody distance! Plus have to try to look not shag! Hahah! Vain pot me still posed for pics nevertheless! Wuahah! Changed and run out with the bike! Argh! Uneven grounds!

3: Mount the bike! 20km to go!
& Where the hell is my Speedo Meter?!!! I was feeling very shagged liao! & When I cycled off and wana know the speed to maintain, I dun my my F**king speedometer?! I immediately followed the closest lady (whom I deemed should be quite fit judging from the size of the buttocks – avid cyclists have very firm n Perky butts)! Please dun ask me how on earth I can managed to remain analytical when I am so shagged, it was just survival instinct!
As I was cycling, I had the time to analyze what happened:
1) I dropped it when pushing the bike out as the ground was really very bumpy, or
2) Some evil-idiotic-participant had stolen my $70 speedometer! ARGH!
I was feeling terribly upset! This could be a rather expensive triathlon event, $90 for registration & $70 for the lost equipment!
Anyway, I had to “chase” the lady that I had “chosen” as a pacer! Man! She is fast lah! I kept her in sight not more than 10metres away, only on the 3rd lap did I managed to overtake her! She is probably a mother of a couple of kids liao lah! I have nothing to be proud of for overtaking her! FAINT!
4laps to go! Down the never ending straight road, we can see (& hear) the planes taking off and landing!

4: Dismount Bike!! Whoaaaa!! Jelly legs! I almost lost my balance when I got off the bike! I wobbled to push the bike back to the transition point, leave it there!

As I was taking off the helmet n gloves, I tried my luck and looked around the area! Guess what! I FOUND IT! No evil person steal my Speedometer! It had dropped off near my Transition lot!!! I quickly picked it up & dropped it into my plastic bag!! WHOOPPI!!!

5: Ran out!! 5 shagging kilometers to go!
Or rather I jogged out! Feeling damn shagged liao! Jelly legs refused to listen to me to take bigger strides! ARGH! Nevertheless, I maintained a steady pace, controlled the stitches bugging me on both my sides…weather was Hot HOT HOT!!! I didn’t dare to drink the water the volunteers handed out to me as I needed to get rid of the pain 1st.

4 freaking laps to go, after 2 laps, I got a little disoriented which direction to go as it was not indicated, I had to asked the official stationed at the “2nd Lap” and “Finish” junction. Even Stella n Milo noticed that I was rather pissed off n frowned! Ok, 2 more laps to go, I figured I cant run at the pace that I had trained, I sucked thumb and maintained at the steady pace- & managed to overtake a few runners. Sheila n Clarissa were also doing their runs liao, & we encouraged each other to press on whenever we passed each other!

6: “FINISH” sign! I saw it!
I filtered into the lane and open up my strides, I can see it now!! I sprint towards it! The blue carpeted floor! I sprint and sprint! I saw Stella n Milo cheering me on! But alas, that was not the finishing, it was just a microchip reading point! I saw the big billboard that read “FINISH” further up! & I pressed on! & then I almost fall flat when I heard the MC announced “Coming up next is 595 SOK MUI NG!!” PIANG!!! Why cant they get it! It’s SOYA NG!! *FAINT*

Anyway, I finished & finished strong!!! Panting but strong! The volunteers at the finished pushing a plastic bag to me- I took it. Another volunteer put on a medal for me- I bowed my head low to receive it and uttered “Thank you!”. Only later when I caught my breathe then I checked the plastic bag to find 2 bottles of drinks n a muesli bar, the medal read “FINISHER”. I was rather proud of myself! Wuahahah!
Milo & Stella fussed over me with words of encouragements, water, the event’s update etc! Hhahha! Then it was photo time!!!

Overall, it was a fantastic event! I am very happy for Clarissa n Sheila to complete their Virgin Triathlon event! Somehow I took the responsibility of making sure they trained, felt ok. The support I lacked during my 1st triathlon event, so I am supa glad that they did GREAT!

I am famished! After packing up, we headed to Bake’s Café for yummy lunch! Well deserved Beer and Yummy Food!

Merry Bunnily Easter Sunday!!!

Woke up at 9am, planned to go TP, swim then jog… maybe 2 rounds… but alas, the Mr. Sunshine decided to go on unpaid leave! Was waiting at the bustop for abt 15 mins already before it started to drizzle, then rained. Looks like that kind that wun stop so soon… so after considering for the next 10 mins (bloody bus still not here!!), I headed back home to chill!


Then when I was reading the newspaper, I noticed that Cookie was doing Yoga....

I watced TV (cartoons!!!) …. Chilled till it’s time to leave the house! Was a rather peaceful journey to town, took bus 23 to Boon Keng and NEL to Clarke Quay. Where’s the crowd! Not that I am complaining but it’s just too good to be true! Maybe they are all the Tampines 1! Hahha!

Anyway, still shopping for the ring since hairstylist not at work on time! Wuahah! Aimlessly browsed for about 45 mins! Finally Haircut (Niceeeee!) & Starry came to meet me!

Made specs!!! YAH! This cool shop has a good range of plastic frames & so since I am out shopping and have been dying to get a pair of nerdy turtleshell specs! I settled for a rather OrBiang one! YAY! Happy! But before that I have to remove my ctc lenses for 30mins, check my eye power & wait for 1 hr for the specs!

Piang! My Mypio went up up up! Double!!! But Astigmatism came down by slight effect… very sad lah! I have always been quite conscious not to spoil my eyesight, except for watching movies and reading in bed…. I need to read before I can sleep mah…. Boohoo….

Was feeling really lazy today.. din drag my ass outa bed to train!
Instead, I lazed in bed till abt 10am which is World Record for me already! Havent really sleep in for a very long time...
Of cos this was made possible after repeatedly ignoring Cookie-the-snooze-alarm's persistent beckoning!

I bathed Cookie & Creamie.... Cookie getting more notti! *POUT* now he no longer just grumble in a stationary position, he will grumble and struggle to get away! Nevertheless, Creamie was wailing loudly in Meow Language "Please-Do-Cook-Kitty-Curry-With-Me"! Even Edward woke up from his dream land! So Paiseh man!

I think I will be a lousy mother, overly strict & no fun! I find myself saying "NOOooo Cookie!", "Notti Girl Creamie!" more often than "Gooooooody Boy Cookie!" or "Mummy Loves you Creamie!"
Haiz.. what to do, I am the one who has to clean their soiled anus (which they properly hate me to core for that!), the residue in their eyes, The brown wax in their ears (cookie will grumble non-stop when I do that and will struggle by using his paws to push my hands away)!

Of cos I not only Sayang and Pat pat them.... but I do more bad than those who dont have to do any bad at all!

Anyway, they recovered quickly after I fed them extra portion of Yummy wet food! hahah! Now I understand why parents alwis resort to bribery for good school results or behaviours!

Lazed more in bed, tok to them.... read newspaper while they attempt to lick themselves dry! So cute...=)

Btw, I was scolding them the other day & I shouted :"Cookie Ng Bing Gan! What do you think u are doing!?! Creamie Ng Nai You, stop it, be good girl k!" Papa laughed & laughed! Asked me to repeat what I have just said! So I told him

"Right what! Cookie's surname is 黄, so chinese name is 黄饼干 lah!

Man, I must say that I havent seen the man laugh so heartedly for a long time!

Belinda's new house is totally awesome!! Nice surrounding! Beautiful balcony and nice black white matching decor! Can tell that they put alot of heart into designing their sweet nest, in anticipation of their new baby girl too! Very sweet!

I must say I am really amazed by how the Furminator can strip the fur of Cookie &Creamie! WOW! It doesnt really remove only the undercoat, actually it strips the coat alittle and the dead hair... so C&C looked more ....."defined" in terms of their outline! hahah! Gone are the Fly Away hair & Bad Hair Days! I shall use it on my babies every fortnightly after they are completely dry from their fortnightly bathe!

See! I am satisfied with my purchase & highly recommends it! YAY! Go get it online!

Oh! & I completed my colourfull strippy curtains at Matt's mum's shop after work today! Will post pictures when I next changed my curtains! YAY!

Training Days are Rainy Days! ARGH!

I washed my shoes after I got caught in the terrible thunderstorm on Sunday... Yes, I just washed them & F**K, I got caught in another thunderstorm today!

Bad day to start off with!
1st up, my LG HP spoilt last nite, finally gave way on me... after we got a "teeny" wet on Sunday... buttons are not working.. worst! Auto shut down! *FAINT!* Cannt tahan! I couldnt be sure it was the hardware so I did a Hard reset etc .... tried & tried... by 2am, I cfm it's the hardware and decided I must visit LG service center at Ulu Alexandra the next day!

So..... Slept at 2+am & woke at 8am....

Made it to training with Sheila & Clarissa @ TP!

1) Swim was better! Kept trying to remb the advice that Kim gave me and my own novice analysis.... timing improved by a satisfying rate! I hit my 1st 10 laps at 11:45 and the next at 12:30 (fatigue keeps in lah! No choice!) ..... that makes my timing an improvement from the previous! Shaved off about 1 min plus! HAppy!

2) Cycling was decent, except that the rain was rather heavy... abit too heavy for my liking!
Fated lah! I told myself that after this ride I will give my bike a wash through, degreasing and greasing! So today no choice, must do it liao! My bike turn from White to abit Brownish! & My socks! My poor Green-matching-turtle socks! They were stained by the greased and turned Black & oily at the ankle area! Boohooo!

3) Run was at a decent pace.... me & clarissa didnt really run properly the other time, so today we decided to take it easy to complete the set. I am feeling very glad that Sheila completed the set so at least she will have a better idea of what to expect on race day! Great job!

We endured hungry stomach and went back home...

I literally "stripped" everything off the bike....
Equipped with loads of cleaning stuff, I headed for the toilet with my baby and gave it a thorough wash down! BOy! should have seen the colour of the water! I washed all my equipment and lay them out to dry.... oh yes, I had to washed my running shoes again! ARGH!

Thereafter Sheila & Clarissa were very nice & went to LG center with me! Yahoo! Can collect today! YAY! So we went to Holland Village & have our much deserved Lunch cum Breakfast cum Tea! Had loads of food! I needed to refuel!!! haha!

Went to Sheila's Place. WOW!! F**King near to Holland Village lah! It's the literally a teeny stone's throw away lah! Next nex block only! FAINT!

Went back to LG & then to vivo to meet Z, watched movie . Dumb Chick no brainer movie, suited for a Lazy Tuesday!

Was really exhausted, body ache (guessed I pushed myself quite hard today!)

Havent a chance to really tok to Wendy yet, wonder how she is.....hmmmm.....

Dilemma, dilemma....

I am in a dilemma now...

Beer was very nice help me keep a lookout for jobs... some weeks ago I have "let the wind out" that I may be looking for new opportunities...

The next few days, he actually called me up and ask if I would be interested to be a Property agent for Company H. I know Company H's projects and launches are niche, very nice and small developments. Their agents will be involved with Showflats launches etc.
I told him that though I am not too keen, I would consider and thank him for keeping me in his kind thoughts!

a few evenings ago, Beer called while I was jogging. His friend, B, is a headhunter and he merely mentioned to him that I am looking out for opportunities. As I was jogging, we only chatted for a while. But the very short conversation lingered in my heart. I cannot be sure what I really want now, I just know to do my best in whatever I am doing at that moment. But I do want to be able to work from home ultimately, fixed hours, not have to worry abt work after office hours and what no one will call me at home for work related matters.

I still pin on the hope to achieve financial freedom, can only achieve through online trading?! So do I really wanna change industry?
Start all over again?

Dilemma dilemma!

So B called me today and we talked for a while,he requested for my CV. I asked in more details what are the companies that he help source manpower for? He told me mainly MNCs like IBM, HP,etc. I also hinted that I would prefer to work from home, assignment based and understand that these companies have such schemes for their staff! I agreed to email him my resume over the wkend.

But I am hesitate, do I really wanna get a new job? or try try only 1st, see my market value!

Today, I printed out all my old payslip since I joined the company.... I am surprised to learn that actually I have earned a decent pay (average over the mths) considering that I entered into this industry as a newbie (mayb my expectations are low lah). But the market have been so bad recently that I am earning barely my expenses.
Qn: Is sales really the way out to earn bigger buck for non degree holders and limited skill pple like me?
Qn: Am I really suited for sales?

Starry asked if I just wana change industry or change company. I also duno...

Anyway, I sent out the CV liao. See how it goes bah!

Today another headhunter company called me... absurd! Called my work hp! How daring!!
The conversation went like this:

"Hi! My name is J, I am a Headhunter. Is it convenient to talk now?"

"Hi J, yes it's convenient now, may which headhunting company are you calling from?"

"Oh, I work on my own!" *FAINT!* "So Soya, I understand that you are working for XXX Bank as a XXX, are you interested to switch jobs?"

"You are right, I work for XXX Bank. May I know which company or industry are you sourcing for?"

"Oh, mainly companies involved in Financial Industry!" (note: through our conversation, she used a ridiculously high pitched "fake enthusiatic" voice that is almost non-irritating!)

"May I know exactly which are the companies that you are sourcing for?"

"Well, insurance companies eg.Pxxx !"

"I see, I understand they are aggressively now. But Thanks, I have no intention to join an Insurance company just yet, but I will keep ur offer in mind. Thank you for calling,J"

Really, if i really wanted to join the Insurance line, I would have already done so straight outta Navy! I would have earned a decent paycheck (judging from my track record now and with recurring income.... I think will manage decently). .... but nope nope.....

Not my cup of tea. I enjoy talking to people, sharing with them the importance of insurance, saving etc. If they are agreeable, I will help them with the application. But I will not HARD SELL.... against my principles leh...

Today me & boss were toking abt our "big" boss.... she was leaving for a meeting.... which if u ask me, the agenda of the meeting is dreadful... seeing the person is dreadful enough... haiz.
anyway, she asked me seriously:" do u ever wanna be a manager like me?"

WAU! So direct... I told her the reply for my troubled past few weeks :"I duno, looking at wat you are doing, seeing that u have to see this person that no 1 wanna see.... I really duno the reward is like not worth leh.."

This is the most truthful reply I can think of.... it is the most ME reply....

haiz....she replied: " Yah, that's what I tot so too.... but looking at you & G, for the both of u, it is WORTH IT! But for others, nope..."

My heart immediately warmed up...mayb it's a PR thingy, maybe it's from the bottom of the heart.... it sound really nice and sincere to me....

Last night I met up with Wendy for Dinner!
I am so happy that she allocated me her precious time for dinner!
She has been feeling rather down for the past weeks and just thought wana cheer her up abit!

Didnt want her to go thru the whole "late for reservation thingy", so I thought for very long before I decided to bring her to Waraku Katong Village for some really YUMMY Jap food!
Told her it will be walk in, so no rush, no pressure! YAY!

Waited for very long lah! Probably abt 45mins before we got a table! & by then we were famish!
So I over ordered again! Ended up have to 打包 back! Oh, midway they changed our 1 table into 2 tables also, cos the dishes were over flowing the edge!


The only thing I was sianz was that Wendy didnt seem very much cheered up....
as a friend, I feel really 失败 (failure)....

haiz.... anyway, I just hope she will feel better soon!

This morning I got up at 9am and went to TP for a swim, surpass my usual timing of 26+ mins. today I did abt 24mins 30secs. I kept rembing Froggy Kim's comments abt my hand overshooting to the other side, so it's wasted energy!

Just hoping that the actual day I will have the brains to remb!

Thereafter I walked to Bedok Res to wait for Mei, Clare and Sheila to jog. Mei & Sheila told me it's abt 12pm, but Clare told me 11.15am+-. Just in case I miss them, I reached abt 11.20am and waited till I almost fell asleep lah!

Then I saw them.... it's nice to see pple row again.... was getting all nostalgic abt the old days.... I was thinking of how I would have row, blade entry point, pacer stretched out full, max power in each stroke, my loud voice to motivate every1 in the boat.... I miss those days... Hhahhah!

Anyway, we finally set out to jog but alas.... 天不作美! It rained, & the sky roared and the lightening striked and the siren for CAT 1 went off! We were only slightly more than half way done! faint!

So it was very Low-Man-Tick lah! Me, PeiTan and Mei jogged in the rain!!!!

Their team mates met us nearer to the finishing line and encouraged us to go on!
The first thing I shout out was to Sheila :" DARLING! SAVE MY HANDPHONE!!"
Wuahahahh!

Anyway, it was a nice and eay jog =D I went home still dripping in the bus, of cos I got stares lah! HAHhahH! Brrrrr..... aircon was chilling down my bone!

The 1st thing I did was to wash my shoes! Hahhah! Then bathed.
I cleared my room, vacuumed, mopped, wiped the surfaces, changed the bedsheets and then showered again!

Then left the house for lunch with the DB Girls.... Aston's it shall be! YUMMY! Fried Fish, potato salad and garden veggies! Finished every bit! We chatted mostly abt cars.... Awwwww I miss my Stouty (my mazda Austina....) I miss washing my Asley (Honda super four bike...)....

Thereafter I walked home. & Yes, I showered again! So I can blow style my hair and put make up!! Cos I wanna take new passport photo!
But without my "connector piece for camera to tripod", I cant use the tripod and fumbled for a long time trying to catch the right light.

Anyway, I also took photos with Cookie & Creamie! Kekkek! So tough to catch hold of them, esp Creamie who doesnt like to 抱抱 (carry/cuddle)....

This is another DIY, since Cookie had chewed the box until beyond repair, I decided to convert it into a hide & seek Peek-a-Boo toybox for them!

They enjoyed playing inside! HAHhahH!

No no, they were not fighting,

just playing "catch me if you can!"

Finally done! YAY! & I bathed again! So today total 4 times! Later I am going again after blogging - Prepare for bed! Wuahahah!

April's Fool is MUFFINS DAY!

I made muffins... alot of muffins!

For colleagues at Tampines West br, for colleagues at Heartland Mall br,
for Family, for Mei mei!

All in all, abt 24 muffins! FAINT!!!

That's alot lah!

I rushed home specially to do the muffins, by the time I got home was abt 8+pm liao lah! and I only finish making ard 1030pm, plus must wait for it to cool! Wuahahh! But the process was so fun! The thoughts of making something "Sweet" for these pple made me very happy!

I made BlueBerry Cheese Muffins, BlueBerry Muffins (jus in case there are pple who dun eat cheese!) and some special request of Chocolate chip muffins!

FAINT! Linda asked me why my muffins look like Mr.Bean's Japanese pancake (you know those with Red bean, cheese, Chocolate fillings?!)

ArgH! So upset by her comments!

Only 2 chocolate chips muffins turned out pretty!

The chocolate chips batch was special, cos only 4 in the oven and they were centrally placed!

So with Starry helping me to ask her colleague who bakes, we confirmed that it's the oven and of cos maybe the way I folded in the flour!

Next time will be better, will turn down the temperature and try again! Practise makes perfect!

- Banana Walnut Muffin

- Orange Yoghurt Muffin

- Lemon Yoghurt Muffin!
