New Lappy! Yes, Finally!

Finally decided to go get a lappy... saw some promo on the newspaper & decided, "today is the day!"

So I ventured out with sheila to her fav computer store at Suntec.

Before my wallet gets lighter, we decided to have a sumptous meal @ Kenny Rogers! Wow... these day they have service charge leh! 10+7%.... faint! Actually bill add $5 for +++ tsk tsk... & they dun serve water from the tap anymore! Only bottled water... mayb I should test them & tell them to get a cup & fill it with Tap water! Argh!

Anyway, got the lappy... not the glam glam sleek, thin, small & light model... but rather a value for money workhorse for my work... these days it's watching this...

So cant be too small else the money I make not enough to go for lasik lor...=P

Got a Acer E-Machine D725

I thought it was a decent deal... below my budget... including selling off my current lappy... it's $200 lesser, so $663... still rather decent... I was prepared to throw in $1200... =I

Happy with the buy! I even took a cab to rush home! wuahahh! Pple who know me will know that I dont really take cab unless no choice!

Ok, I confess, I rushed home not to Tear open the package & put my fingerprints on it k! I rushed home cos I was gona be late for my training session with Ellen!

------------------Jogging-------------

Started at abt 9pm... i transformed into Geeky Soya & sat down to do the unpacking & yes! Tearing open the packages!!! woooohooooo!

Cant remb the last time I did that, cos the last most expensive thingy I bot for myself was a camera $400.... yes, that was the most expensive to date & that was like 1.5yrs ago!

So, I did all the restoration (already did backup) on the new lappy at the same time I did the reformating of my old lappy.

Btw, my old lappy is called Jude & my lappy is WangWang 旺旺 (as in 旺in财!)

I finally finished at 2am & set both the lappies to do the defragmentation to better optimise the performance & speed… Handing over Jude to Ariel(Sis-in-law) latest by Tues, but I wanna make sure things are ok! Batteries fully charged also & I left her the photo editing programmes so she can use for her FB updating etc.

Happy with myself…. But I m feeling abit lost…. My 感情 with Jude is over after 7+ years… yes yes… I know the old 1 dun go, new 1 dun come… but… but….Oh Jude…

For 7+years, Jude stood by me, endured the loneliness & shared my laughters with me... Jude grew with me in my knowledge as I discover my other best friend, Google dot com … helped me with my work & enhanced my personal life… how can I just abandon him like this?!!! Oh Jude…. Forgive me! The least that I can do for you now is to offer u to some1 who can look after u as well as I did for the beautiful times we’ve spent together!.... Jude, you will be love….

Now, WangWang… u are under probation… do what u have been called upon to do… serve ur highness, Moi, well! U have big shoes to fill yes… but u are not called a E-Machine for nothing… make ur value worth k! Let’s 旺旺together!

I took a last look at Jude & place him on Brother’s bed… I realised that I have really taken very good care of him… he still looks as good the first day I met him…. & as they said, the rest is history!

My darling boy grows up too fast!

Nugget is growing up fast! This is this milk teeth! So cute right!



He's really sweet, he will watch me work by my lappy...oh, if I was too engrossed in my work & forgot to pat pat him, he'll remind me too!

This is his way of reminding me : "Mummy, i want rubba... Purrpurr!"
He will plonk himself on the notepad i am writing on & rubba his face on my hand! *faint!* Oh, he's a determined boy, he will rubba till he is shiok , then he will stroll away feeling satisfied! kekek!

The kitties love to sleep in the afternoon from 2+ to abt 4+5pm... this is the time when they will find a fav spot & snooze... they will be really sound asleep at this time!

Nugget used to be able to fit into this container, he will occupy 1 corner... now he is fully stretched & the container looks small for him already! kekeke!

As a single mum of two kitties... I dread the day they grow up & leave the nest (no lah, they are 100% indoor cats)... but u know what I mean... when they grow up & no longer play like kittens... they will be ever sweet & cute in my heart... awww....

I must have caused my Papa much headache, even until now...

Must sayang him Papa....k, I chio him go Breakfast tmr mornign! kekkek!

I made brunch for myself today!

I wanna adopt healthy lifestyle... more exercise... less binge drinking (key word is "Binge", means I can still drink)! & eat more healthily!

Chicken Breast fillet, lightly seasoned & pan smeared... Herby & nice!
Fresh Baby Butterhead, green & crunchy!
Red pepper, full of anti oxidant & vitamin A, beautiful colour too!
Cheese, Full of calcium & Vitamin D for strong bone!
Multigrain bread, no transfats, full of fibre for the well being of digestive system!

We are the Dim Sum Dollies!

Went for a jog at East Coast Park this Sunday Morning! So nice! At 9am, it was rather crowded already! Havent return to ECP for Leisure jog since last year... the recent tri-factor was held there but there wasnt really time for Sight Seeing or the mood was just different!

Today, we attempted to jog for continuous 1 hour non stop, from the Chalet, pass the hawker centre to seafood centre, 360 Degree Ski, bedok jetty to the National Sailing Centre... it was nice....very nice... & Ellen is just such a great pal to jog with! Thanks Buddy!

Will be doing it on a regular basis!

I was part of the Dim Sum Dollies today! What a great way to reward myself after the workout!

Me & Mei craved for Dim Sum & decided to eat at our 老地方, opposite Temasek Poly!

I warned Mei that the Dim Sum is not fantastic, but we mutually agree that it was the company that we eat with, that wholesomely completes the experience! Awwww.....

The Joy being a FurKid Parent!

One of greatest joy is to have Furkids of my own! my 2 kitties have been such fun to be with, of cos as parent (single mum in fact!), it's tough at times! But the joy far supercede what the angry moments caused! So overall, it's still a WIN situation!

It's still frustrating that I cant keep dogs... but the 2 kitties are such joy already!

I was watching jap Drama serial ^1 Litre of Tears^ & sob uncontrollably... Creamie was in the usual hideout under the chair... totally out of sight of me... but when she heard the sobbing sound, she popped her head out & looked at me... stared straight into my eyes as if asking... "mummy... why are u crying... U last cried like this when Ge Ge Cookie didnt come back with u... dun scare me.... why are u crying now?"....

aiyoh... she stared at me for a long time.... before she walked over & gave me a rubba on my face, 1st with her face, then rubba till her bum was in my face... it was comforting... & very funny! I laughed aloud thereafter!

This week is relac week for me! 1st wk of not working is ending! Today is Friday! & TGIF!!

Weather's too hot in my room! Soaking my boxer shorts to with pespiration! decided to change Feng Shui! & move my customised made table (I draught it myself & got the contractor to make 1)!
I moved it right under the Fan! YAY! Better!

This is my make shift Office!

Made lunch for myself! Actually only bought Red Pepper & Chicken Breast meat from the wet market, but dug out some other ingredients to make a complete dish!

chicken breast meat marinated with mixed herbs, garlic salt, pepper)

My office colleague told me before that should dodge hot water onto those tomato, red/green pepper 1st before eating! This will aid in the release of Anti-oxidant (which they are so rich in)!
