Club Med Cherating!

Woke up this morning feeling refreshed... managed to suppressed the anxiety of going on trip & sleep decently!

Must have my hearty breakfast before leaving! YAY!

Set off on Transnasional Coach at 9am - departing from Lavender St.(Coach carpark)

Journey thru Mersing to Kuantan...total 7.5hrs with 1 lunch break in between

It was a neverending road on the highway... I imagine myself riding down the roads... lotsa hills & nice view! Planations on the left, on the right & everywhere!

Niceeee...

We just casually chatted abt random stuff... family, friends, r/s, work.... etc...

Finally reached Kuantan, another Taxi ride to Club Med Cherating Village... 50mins ride... RM70... we were expecting RM100!?! Gd bargain!

Finally reached ClubMed... sorry... no bikini girls or hunks in swimming trunks to welcome us at the reception! The GO (GuestOfficer) is call Kana, japanese gal. She's married to another GO(Ken), who's a Singaporean, working at this ClubMed too!

We met & spoke to many GOs & even guests! The GOs were really friendly, sometimes they will come & sit with us for dinner... we gorge ourselves with gd food! Yummy! & lotsa Wine!

1st nite dinner: GO from India - Harish, he's the Spa Manager!

While A went to get more food, I managed to "FISH" some spa discount from him! 30%!

Just in case we wanna go lah, cos Spa is the only thing we gota pay at CM.... bleah! A teased me that I use "美人计" lah!

Performance by GOs: Dancing!

We watched lotsa TV in the room too! There were cable so we watched Discovery channels, the ESPN, AXN, HBO etc... everythign! sometimes till 2+am!

2nd day...Mr.Sun refused to come out still...
when we arrived, it was already raining... 2nd day whole day also...... argh! We lazed around the pool, reading book... dozing off... & that's pretty much what we did most of the time!

Dinner on 2nd nite: GO from Senegal - BouBou, he's incharge of seasports!

3rd day, finally Mr.Sun came out!
We went to the beach!! & sailing with the GO BouBou & did some kayaking!! Nice weather!!

Nowadays, when pple tell me that I am dark...

We swam a little bit at the pool & took funny swimming videos of each other!
A also joined some pool games too!

We also went for a short jog ard the resort... probably 20mins but I was shagged! Couldnt keep up with A of cos! Must train harder when return to singapore liao!
  
3rd Nite Dinner: GO Ken from Singapore (Kana's husband) -he's in charge of Purchasing

he's really funny... he's the same age as me... so we clique quite well & discussed abt work, movies etc.... I had a great time!

We smoked Shisha & had more wine! We got to know GO Mobeen from South Africa-Gym instructor. & also toked to alot of other GOs from Koreas (their female GOs are the prettiest & male GOs the friendliest!)

Me & A each have our fav GOs... Mine was a Korean GO who looks like Jayce Chan - Jackie Chan's son! Really alike lah! His was a chio Korean GO, who used to be an air stewardess with Asiana & she's really HOT lah! We keep a lookout for each other's fav whenever we spot them! Kekek!

4th day: 1st we went for a Gym class...
it was called "Body Sculpt" but quite siong man! (*I got body ache still now!) The instructor was GO MoBeen... he's damn fit lah! Classes after classes of cos his body is damn gd lah!

A went for the Tennis Tournament...

& got a silver medal! Beaten

by a 13yrs old Aussie boy!

*He must have "let water" to the boy! Wuahah!

I went for the Trapeeze!

Like Circus! Woohoo!

For our last dinner at CM, we made reservations at the beach side restaurant.

We took a tram ride there though

it was only a 7mins walk! Kekek!

Rather fine dinning - & best of all, the package included all the food & wine that we have had for the past few days! Wuahahah! Shiok!

We had a very relaxed time at the restaurant... but decided to hurry back for the last performance that we will see at CM!

MiniClub! It's exclusive for kids... different age ranges! Parents go to CM & "dump" their kids with the MiniClub GOs & they will organise activities the whole day for them! Clever parents, can relax without the kids immersing in each other's company only!

Anyway, these kids come tog & had practised the whole morning already! it was GREAT!

They were so so cute!! OMG!

I lost count have many of these I had! They were so pretty to look at & Yummy to drink!

Last nite: KTV nite!

We hung out with GO Chuck n Chance from Korea - They are the Korean Liaision officers n Recept. Overall, I liked GO Chuck the best... cos he was really friendly... our age & I feel he is more geniune, unlike some GOs (mayb they are 'burnt out' by the "PR-ings")

According to them, most of the GOs tot that me & A were a couple.... they exclaimed in shock that we had travelled tog as friends, & not in the making of bf gf + we only knew each other for like 3 mths! Some GOs even tot that we were husband & wife!

Means 2 things to me:

1) We look old enough to be married... Bleah!

2) The GOs were pretty KAYPOH lah! They actually discussed/gossip abt the guests!

Anyway,  they all urged us to sing some KTV & we sportingly did! A did *伍佰 - 浪人情歌*   We did a *Jacky Cheung n Gao Hui Jun - 你最珍贵* together, thereafter I did a *Can u feel the love tonite* with GO Chance.
I can vouch for this, A can sing.... & he can sing pretty well! We had previously toked abt going KTV when back in Singapore & KTV session came earlier than expected!

Overall, the trip went great! I met my objectives of the trip & had a Great time relaxing!
Time to work hard & saved up for the next trip... hmmm? where shd I go next?! =D

Operations Cheer-Starry-Stella!

I decided to bake Starry a chocolate cake today... she's not in her prettiest mood & dun wanna her to start the New Year grumpy!

But alas, I couldnt decide on which chocolate cake to bake! I googled for a few recipes & even on my way to Phoon Huat Simei, I was still contemplating which cake to bake, also if I have enough time since I am meeting her at 6pm!

My operations was hindered by the sudden downpour! Had to leave the house abit later... by then it was already 1pm! I walked very quickly to SIMEI & bot the stuff! I bot ingredients for the 2 different cake & still couldnt decide which 1 to make! What was the deciding factor? TIME... I am running outa time to make either... by the time I returned home, it was 2+pm liao!

I almost give up baking a cake! Esp when it's a new recipe! But at the 11th hour, I decided I SHALL BAKE HER A CAKE! So I decided on the Chocolate Mint Cake recipe!

Interesting New Method:

Mix Butter n Flour 1st!?!

Usually it's Sugar n Butter.... flour last...
But this method will supposingly make the cake more moist n fluffy inside!

Whisking Eggs(FIVE!) n Sugar...

Mixed all together, separate to 2 different bowls!

Add in the "special" for Mint flavour

n Chocolate flavour!

Swirl the batter in the tin for the Marbled effect!

pop it in the oven!

Process of Sun-tanning!

Need to suntan for 50mins?!

So long! OMG! I'm may be late meeting starry!

Shave off the raised top(if any), level it!

Oh man, what a mess i made!

Top it with more melted

Dark Chocolate icing(can cover the sides of the cake too) & top off with some chocolate Shavings/curls...

Can use white chocolate for color effects, but I aint got time!

Actually I failed quite badly! Alot of hicups! 1st the batter overflowed while baking in the oven! OMG! I quickly remove the baking tin & shave off the top (which was burnt by then)! The exterior baked decently, but the insides erupted like a volcano-except the lava was in Brown n Green! What a weird sight! Then I tried to shave off to level it... Couldnt shave it level.... so I kept shaving... & the cake got smaller! WTH?!

Improvements:
1) Use less batter next time.... or bigger tin, leave room for raising!
2) Get a better heat distributing oven.... forced fan kind I guess....

I tasted the cake (or rather the burnt n shaved off parts), tasted rather good I must say! Wuahah!
Mayb cos I really like those Moist n wet kinda Cake... heavy sponge kind... those very light like chiffon kinds are not really my fancy!
Also I love mint! I forgot I have Mint Plant now! I should have decorated the cake with a few mint leaves on top to make it look really nice!!!  But alas, forgot lah!

Anyway, i made it to meet Starry in time! I couldnt help but feel that pple on the MRT can smell the fragrance of the Dark Chocolate.... Esp when I couldnt cover the cake yet cos it was still warm!!! did they know that I am smuggling food onboard!?!
All I can say is... I made Starry Stella smile.... =D
So OPERATIONS CHEER-STARRY-STELLA was a success & therefore i am very happy!

Nah.... Mummy's going on a little adventure... an adventure that Mummy's even worried that her poor heart cant take it... but Mummy will come back Braver, & Stronger! So sayang my Darlings... see u soon! Mummy Miss u babies already!

Merry New Year n what a Geeky n Doggy start!

My hp went kaput again last nite!!


I tot I have some time, I can do backup n sync my hp with lappy.... but alas, duno what happened, the contacts all, ALL went missing!

Luckily I have the backup in my lappy... but the syncing just cant start no matter what I do!

Do hard reset everything in my Hp, still cant!
Do remove sync software + outlook reboot/repair, still cant!
Eventually I spent like 3-4hrs in front of comp trying to troubleshoot!

I just dun understand, how can it suddenly go bonkers like that! 1.5mths ago - I did a sync too! everything was ok! Argh!!

When Stella arrived at 5+pm, she could sensed that my face black like charcoal! She also smarty to leave me alone to do my IT stuff, knowing how much it irks me to be "OPERATIONAL NOT READY"!

Had to leave for Eeleen's NY n BDay party liao! Come back then continue bah!
Eeleen stays just 1 street down from me! 5mins walk only! Wuahah!

Although me n Starry rushed abit to get there, we were the earliest!

Throughout the whole party... i can only say this.... Heartwarming....

Eeleen's family is just so hospitable... so friendly everyone... Papa n Mama whipped up a feast in the kitchen for all of her friends n family! Sister played a Great host of her friends too, & best of all, backed a real yummy n mean chocolat cake for Eeleen.... Awww.... so sweet right! Plus she baked Eclairs! Wow! Cousins n her other friends all very nice too! Eeleen's whole paternal extended family members (4 other families - including hers is 5!) all stayed like, Next door! Upstairs, downstairs.... piang! All the addresses only the #unit number slight different lah! Like so niceee..... to have cousins n uncles n aunties to stay tog.... awww..... so close knitted the bond! I was so touched!

Wished my family is like theirs.... now even BroXiong lives in Bishan.... a stupid 1hr10mins Bus journey or 20mins drive away.... haiz....

We left at abt 12.30am.... guess what I did after I reached home?!
After bathed then stuck my butt to the chair in front my my lappy lah! Wuahahh!
Yes yes.... I am boring Soya - kicking off the New Year in the most appropriate manner I know - Being GEEKY! Wuahah!

So I spent the next 1.5hrs finishing what I have concluded while at Eeleen's place... I already roughly guessed that it could be the new antivirus scan prog I installed last month! That's the only thing that I have done differently recently! MUST BE!

YES! at 2.01am... I messaged Starry (who's still out partying) & Eeleen (who's hosting the MJ sesssion at her place still) that I have rescued my HP... the operation was successful... Emergency procedures worked & patient is now conscious n recovered! Piang! I feel like my HP was in A&E for the longest time! I can sleep in peace now!

I woke up late this morning.... just enjoying my New year's much deserved sleep!

1st thing I did - sync my spare phone! wuahahah! Kekek! no hicups! YAY!
Then got ready to leave the house! Having a little adventure today! Going to K9 Cafe at TurfCity with Vivien n her dogs!
Viv brot 2 of her 3 Jack Russell Terrier! LeoLeo n Russell! Sheila's at home cos she figured it will be too handful for 2 of us! wuahah! Esp when they get all excited when see other dogs!

Venture into TurfCity... never been there before so we had to walk alittle n recee even after some googling abt the place! it's like a mini farmway place... they have doggy schools, spas, beauty salons, bakery etc etc... of cos cafe for human friends!

Thought JRT parents can clique n learn more abt their babies! He cycled here with Kona in the basket! So cute lah! We brought the 3 rascals to the dog run at the back! So cool! Like secret training ground cos we had the place to ourselves!
