爱心 MUFFINS!

Woke up to a beautiful morning after a rather hectic chionging session the night before!

Wished I could sleep in more on a Beautiful Sunday but Cookie&Creamie were up for their Sunday Morning "Cross-Country" run! They practically completed the whole SOC (Standard Obstacle Course) in my room, revolving round my bed!

Set off for a much deserved breakfast with Starry and bought the ingredients!
I commented that the cost of the ingredients put together will probably allow me to buy more than 2 dozens of muffin, professionally made! haha! But Homemade is different! it's more 爱心!!! Nothing beats making Sweet treats for your love ones!

Starry patiently sit there and read out the instructions and the measurements to me! It was FUN!
In all, we did 3 batches of Muffins:
1) BlueBerry Cheese (Followed recipe!)

2) Chocolate Chip (Own Agaration Modified Recipe!),
3) BlueBerry Cheese (Modified, not enough milk liao! More egg and butter!)

The 3rd batch was the best!
More fluffy and texture was smoothier!

Chocolate Chips B4 Bake!

BlueBerry Cheese B4 Bake!

1st Batch after Bake!
*Faint*Did nt rise properly!

Close up!
Bleeding BlueBerry?!

3rd Batch! Layering process refined!
Better!

Cross Sections, nice mix of BlueBerry inside!

Can tell which is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd batch?! Wuahahha!

Starry tasting the BlueBerry (Non-Cheese version) muffin!
YUMMY!?!

Learning Point:

1) More butter and Egg will make the texture more smooth!

2) Layering Process, 1st layer (very thin, with more blueBerry),2nd layer (BlueBerry Jam n Cheese), 3rd Layer (Top thicker batter to prevent cracking!)

3) Find out if Oven is not suitable for baking... waiting for answer!
Maybe this Oven is not suitable for baking?!
So far my baking projects with this Oven are all not very successful! =P *POUT*

4) 20mins too long, abt 15mins (at least for this oven)

5) Need to find out why the top dun crack prettily but raised up the whole crust!

Overall, good experience! More practise!!! YAY! HAPPY!
Operation Muffin mission accomplished!! YAY!

Hi Soya,

Thanks for your feedback on my blueberry muffins recipe... Ok.. 1st i am not expert in muffin making too.. so my suggestion might not be rite :p

1) from what you show on your pictures rite... i guess the bleed and doom is because of the mixing of your batter and you didn’t knock off the extra air bubbles to balance the batter b4 making.

2) From the picture the texture of your muffins seems to like dense and cake texture compare to the light and fluffy type that shown in my recipe this might be due to your oven temperature and it might be too hot as the heat circular in the oven might burnt the muffin top b4 it is done. U might must to try to lower the temperature to 180 degree next round and try to test whether the muffin is cook around 15 minutes or so if not then wait for another 5 minutes. Cos sometime different oven produce different result too.. you have test your oven 1st...

Hope that help..... :)
