Looks Young, Feels Old...

I was asked a million $ question the other day my usual Tuesday's Charismatic gathering...

in my solemn thoughts, a brother tapped my shoulder & asked if he could join me to sit beside me... of cos I waved the "pls pls go ahead!"

Then when I continued to be in deep thoughts, he asked me this:
"Sister, are u still studying or working now?"

"huh?" I must have looked really dumb n stunned... so blurred that I thought he would use sign language to ask me this question...he didnt but...

"I mean, are u still studying now? Or are u working already?" Repeating slowly... to make sure I understand him...

"Oh! Working.... working already...." Duh?!!! So many years no body ask me this question liao lah!

"Oh! So how long have u been working already? u just graduated?"

Now, this is really weird... I had to do some mental calculations... blah blah & replied him...
"No, I only have a diploma, i worked for .... erm...(thinking hard)...11yrs already..."

Now his turn to give me the Stunned & blank look...
"ELEVEN YEARS! GOODNESS! HOW OLD ARE U?!"

Ok, at this point, i really do no want tok to him much,
1) He looks like he is approaching 40s!
2) He is a "HE" and a HE stranger!
3) He is not my Boss! I have no boss now!
4) A man with BRAINS should know what questions NOT TO ASK a woman, esp when u dun even know her!!

Except that I was in church lah.... we were whispering, waiting for the charismatic session to begin... as how all good christians should be, I exercised my patience...

"Erm... yes... been working for a while already... i am 30 this year..."

"THIRTY!!!!" He was almost shouting out loud for the whole chapel to hear my age..bleah...

"Yes.... THREE ZERO...  (in my most polite manner) I take it as a compliment the fact that u tot I was still a student ... (false smile) thank you...."

"OH MY! But u look so young!" - Now, at this point, I am no longer offended... except that I wished he had said it louder this time!

Went for a jog today... it was quite tiring.. omg, I think mental state has to do with ability to endure...

But I like my combi of my new socks n shoes!
