Day 5 and recovering well!

I spent quite abit buying wound dressings + Pure Aloe vera gel on Wednesday! $34! faint!
All in hopes that i can be up n running by wkend for my swimming lessons....

To my astonishment, I have been using a tube of Aloe Vera gel that expired in Jun 2009! OMG! I was happily applying on my face, erupted pimple crater, open wound n on my cat's wounds. OMG! I treat the Aloe vera gel as the miracle gel hence was rather thrifty when using it, hence it explains why I still have 1/4 tube left since ages ago!

Anyway, here's the loot from Guardian pharmacy!
*Dressings are for waterproofing the wound for speedy recovery!

Day3:
After applying aloe vera every now and then,
even the wound torn apart by Nugget closed up and healed!

Practise dressing:
*I basically cling wrapped my wound, ready for AQUA warfare!
From experience, the brand 3M's tegaderm flim is better than SMITH's OpSite.

Day5:
Wound is drying slowly and the scrab on the sides are peeling...
actually I was the one who peeled them! Kekek!
Skin is still a little raw and pinkish....
Tie my hands man!

Recovery is speedy!
Even the nurses at the clinical research says so!
Thanks to Aloe Vera Gel! YAY!

-------------
Topping it off, Starry gave me this! So niceeeeeee!
Oh! & a pen from Kikki to match my sling bag! (forgot to take picture as anxiously put in my pencil case!)
So sweet of her hor!!!!

Nightmare caused me to cry again....

I ought to slap myself hard.
Yest after lunch, i suddenly felt a craving for coffee... mayb it's the fact that when u knw that u cant have something (due to Clinical Study's requirement to "purify" the blood), u tend to crave for it more...

Strangely, I craved for Coffee... so I made a cuppa of coffee and have my first coffee of this year... u read correctly... FIRST COFFEE for YEAR 2010! This is how much I avoid coffee....

True enough, I couldnt sleep last nite! I was feeling very awake still and when the TV isnt showing anything logical anymore, I read the clock and realised it was already 12+midnite. I usually prepare to sleep by 11.30 and now I am feeling like someone just injected me with REDBULLS! OMG! I then recalled that I had Coffee in the daytime...

Anyway, the stinging pain in my knees n toe is also keeping me awake... I already stained my bedsheets with blood last nite. I find it hard to position my legs properly hence difficult to sleep soundly. Also, I have been diligently putting my legs in a bended position (squatting or sitting), hoping the wound will dry and heal faster... this way it wun crack open again when I bend my legs... it is working (i think)... at least it hurts more when my legs are straight and not bended now.

Anyway, I was surfing the net and found some interesting reno ideas... hence contributed to my nightmare.... i dreamt abt the night that my darling Cookie boy fell off from the window.... i must have wept myself to sleep when i finally did doze off... haiz....

They say "日有所思, 夜有所梦" meaning "One will dream what he thinks during the day..."
& exactly what did I researched in the daytime? This.....LEGATE's Invisible Grilles...

See extract from CityView's condo forum:
1) Legate are the originator of the Invisible Grilles.
Another competitor with the Invisble grilles name are from overseas(Malaysia)
If you have faults with the competitor's installation, she says they have to do modification works or resolve issues in their JB office if necessary..more inconvenient.
For Legate, their workshop and offices are in Ang Mo Kio.

2)Legate's Invisible grilles can be fixed($12psf) or can be movable i.e can be opened and closed (by making it into sliding or casement type at $22 psf)- hope this answers Nelson's question on opening.
For the competitor, according to her, no option for opening/closing. Only fixed.

3)The gap of the cables can be varied from 2, 3, 4 5 or 6 inches for Legate. Competitor no option to vary the gap according to her. Only fixed gap.
For pets, she says it is advisable to do 2inches gap so that the pets can't squeese thru. - Vocikit, your "animal" is safe
For kids, she says 3 to 4 inches is sufficient. 5 and 6 inches are not advised..unless for Asthetic only ba..

4)Legate is going to have a Exhibition booth at the Changi Expo between 28Aug to 5 Sept at Hall 6
Do go and check out their invisible grilles and other samples.
5)They did a lot of installation for The Pinnacles recently.

So this is why I dreamt about that faithful night again.... the whole episode just replayed.... from the time I discovered him missing.... searched for him downstairs.... broke down when the vet said he is already gone... me coming back with an empty pet carrier....to the time collected him urn...

Sad.... emo... if only i could turn back time....

If I have ever have the chance to live outside this house, I am so gona get this windows....

OUch Ouch! One woman DOWN!

OUCH! I fell down on my bike yest when i was on my way home, just 10metres from the turn into my house's carpark... Stupid me. Was feeling the bike jerky out of no way... i stopped by the small road and off the engine, then i restarted it felt ok. So I tot I will ride in the remaining 20 metres n park my bike, then inspect was is wrong. within 3 metres, the bike jerked forward and i fell on my left... petrol leaking out n my 1st instinct is possible EXPLOSION! I think I have been watching too much action Movies!
I quickly stand up and put the bike upright on it's main stand.

I was still on 1/3 of the road, nearer to the pavement, so I took off my helmet and inspect my injuries... scrapped my kneecaps, left big toe and my right palm...bleah... kneecap injuries are the most dreadful... restrictive in movements and hard to recover cos it's at the joint where recovering or drying scab keeps cracking open to expose the flesh again, PLUS - It scrapped my old keloid scar again... for the umpteenth time!

To make sure that I will recover faster, I decided to do a very brave thing.... I used the 青草油! Those who have used this before will knw how stinging it is... it's F**King stinging! Worst then water.... almost like SALT bah... anyway, it made me to break into a cold sweat everytime i use it! I even shed tears this time n my papa took a little fan n try to fan some cooling air into my legs n face!

The frustrating thing is... I have just serviced my bike on Wed and I didnt really ride it till fri nite. Supposed to change engine oil only, ended up changing the Rear tyre and front suspension core... a $205 bill. Now what?! n even more scratches to the bike! F**K! Was only toking abt Engine overhaul with Kenny (my bike mechanic)... it is a hefty sum man, in thousands. Since so many parts already changed, it's not worth to NOT do the overhaul... damn. Have to wait for the bike shop to assess what's the problem.... now waitin for the bomb to drop on me........

Then I cant go for my swimming class on Mon! F**K! n what abt Sat n Sun?! How am I supposed to coach swimming then?! really pissed. Really dun wanna miss lessons cos I'll get a bonus incentive in Dec if I havent missed any lessons for the term.... argh!

Opsite is my best bet now... i will have to go buy some or get from the clinic when I check in on Tues...
n there I was concerned abt the little prick hole on my forearm for the cannula.... even Opsite it nicely for Sunday's class.... I guess I have bigger worry next wkend!

Kena Bruised....

Suffered a rather bad backache on fri and took the whole of Sat n Sun to recover....thanks to my PHITEN band and Medical Plaster.

Went for a jog with Bro Xiong, only abt 8km but I was panting already and could feel the strain on my knees n ankles. felt quite abit of pain on the part above the arch of both my feet but thot nothing of it. To my rude shock, I had a swollen bruise the next day morning!

See, red and bruised, visible popping purple veins.
Have to wear my trusty PHITEN liao.

My Horoscope today is very interesting!
So interesting that i decided to decorate it with the rainbow scheme!

But my Love life is non-existence.... then how?! Hahah!

Saw this cool car at my block this morning! WOW! I really like it alot! Cos it's also in my fav ORANGE colour!!
Am i a late bloomer in my hidden AhBeng nature??

Reminiscence of sweet memories....

Was it the last time you received a teddy bear?
When was the last time you gave your teddy bear a bathe?
wait......... have u ever washed ur teddy bear? hmmm....

Many of us have probably received our fair share of teddy bears in our girly lives.... they come in all shapes and sizes.... alot of times they are not even Bears... but dolls or whatever cute character tat is in the fad then....

I too have my fair share of Huggies... they once fought with me on my tiny bed for space... I grew up... the bed size also grew... But somehow the number of Huggies grows  INVERSELY proportionate to the the number of candles we have on our birthday cakes.... How miserable!!

Even when we grow older, wiser, less cute... we still fall for the little Huggies that love ones shower us with once in a while...

Some time back, i have written tat I have received a Teddy Bear. The time lapse between the last one i received was a HUGE gap! The one I share my bed with now, has been with me for a year plus. Sadly, the creme coloured teddy bear had longed turned Grey and i have been putting off to give it a bathe. Only a few nights back, I decided to give it a gd scrub.

Tonight when I looked at it again.... All crispy and cremey, all the gd old memories of the teddy bear came back to me.... i recalled how sarcastic I wrote abt the situation when I received it. One Year and a few months today, I can finally confess that I was actually pleasantly happy when I received and cuddled it at nite. At 30years of age, I can finally confess alot of my actual feelings.

I am definitely not a dolly huggy person, but i duno why i kept the bear on my bed.
-Mayb cos it reminded me that I can be Loved no matter what achievements I have in my life (or the lack of it)!

-Mayb cos it was a token of Love from someone who can accept me for who I am... of which I am starting to doubt if I will ever be loved!

-Mayb i felt guilty for causing hurt to someone who once liked me enough to risk being laughed off "WTF! You gave the Tough-Cookie-Soya a Cuddly Teddy Bear?! What were you thinking mate?!"

-Mayb............ I'll never know the answer but I know I wan to keep reminiscencing this precious memory....

All clean n crisp(from the Suntanning!!)

So when you finally decided to give your teddies a bathe, remb that you are loved! remb the memories you once shared with the person....
That is if you ever give ur teddies a scrub lah!!

I passed the BJ test! YIPPEE!

I have to take a BJ test...
Oh well, literally... Actually the medical name for the test is "SPIROMETRY".

Anyway, It's purpose is to measure your abilities in conducting the act of BLOWING! SERIOUS!! No joke!

The not so funny thing is that I had failed this test abt a year ago.... my two single gal friends who went with me Passed the test with a breeze. So for the past year, I was labelled as a Lousy BJ-er!
I MUSS PASS IT TODAY!

So like all things.... they say "Practise makes Perfect!"
since I am currently stuck in my singlehood, I decided to DIY.

Check out my DIY device!

I practised for 5 times a day for abt
a week before going for the test!

Irony has it, the Spirometry test is to measure your lung capacity. I did a Wiki and results as below....

To Me, it read like this.

The management at the clinic should really visit the National Sperm Bank... they provide lotsa "support" to "encourage and ensure" that you perform up to mark! What the heck! it's really quite hard to perform to your best when performing in front of so many pple. On top of that, the nurses who are not even Handsome, will shout at you to "BLOW BLOW BLOW BLOW BLOW!!!" till the reading is taken....some kind of encouragement huh!

All hope is lost when you have put THIS in your mouth:

Then u Blow like this:

They expect you to perform a good BJ reading facing
a machine n a nurse that looks like THIS! WTH!
#Thank goodness my nurse is alot prettier!!

After I got all breathless and
looked up at the nurse, I was informed that
i finally passed the BJ Spirometry Test!!!
Kekeke! Finally!!
